You wake up from a comfortable sleep to see an adorable, yet creepy face with a purple eyepatch looking at you, smiling wide. You let out a scream before the woman in pink covers your mouth.
"Don't be scared, anon!" The girl, known as Harime Nui, reassures you as you stare at her in confusion and fear. "I brought you here so we could play together!" She removes her hand from your mouth.
"What the fuck?!" You exclaim. "Where the fuck am I?! Who are you?!" Nui just tilts her head as you scoot away from her.
"Tee-hee! Silly anon! You can't escape from me~" Nui walks closer to you, the smile never leaving her face.
"What do you want from me?!" You scream at her.
"I want you to be my friend," Nui blinks her eye at you. "I want us to be friends forever!" She then glomps you, rubbing her face against yours.
I have seen all of azumanga daioh and berserk so far aswell as porco rosso, flying castle lepanto and a few cowboy bebop and evangelion episodes, I liked them all.
What do you suggest?
A few days ago,I watched a movie Madoka Magika part3.
That was very good and cool. It's my recommendation.
Part 3 is called "Mamitta" episode, isn't it?
Kara no Kyoukai
Steins;Gate and Nichijou are musts.
YOu should watch Sailor Moon. You should watch Sailor Moon all the time
Watch Siren's final song, heres a link to the first episode http://ex9.co/39iL
Buddy Complex - 01
Story: "On the first day back after summer break, high-school student Aoba is attacked by a giant robot that appears out of the sky. As he's pursued through the city, his classmate Hina appears in a robot of her own. She rescues him, and tells him cryptically that "Dio is waiting for you," before she disappears. This begins Aoba's new life as the pilot of the Free Treaty Alliance against the Great Zogiria Republic."
Genre: Giant robots wars.
Comments: Single linear timeline hypothesis? Looks like sci-fi from the 60ties.
The characters also look somewhat retro.
From an old manga? Mmh... No, supposedly it's an original creation.
Let me see what happens after the time jump.
Engaged to the Unidentified - 01
"Yonomi Kobeni, an ordinary girl, finds out on her 16th birthday that she is betrothed to Mitsumine Hakuya, a boy the same age as her. Hakuya moves in from the countryside and starts living with her, bringing his younger sister who is still a primary school student with him."
Slice of ordinary comedy.
Whew, that was a breath of fresh air after the other anime, the colors and the animation were so soothing... eh, hold on, only one guy, and he is a half-mute? Where are the other guys? In the ED, maybe? Nope, "only" nine girls and the mum mate there.
The grandpa will show up, maybe? Ah no, he is dead... Maybe a little too soothing.
Strange+ 01: First joke was about... Oh, it ended? The joke was never explained.
SoniAni 01: Poor girl, nobody ever told her she was still wearing headphones. So mean.
Robot Girls Z 1-3: Parodies after parodies, parobodies? Zingers galore.
Magical Warfare - 01
"When Nanase Takeshi, a regular high school student, encounters Aiba Miu, a girl from a world of destruction, he winds up getting involved in a grand battle between mages."
School life, with magical battles.
Two guys and two girls? Good balance here, at last.
But, in this world the magical rules are so complicated the characters need to stop fighting to make an infodump every now and then. Thankfully, the bad guys stop attacking too!
There Be Reviews:
ZX IGNITION 01: Trading cards promo piece. Confused and confusing.
Pupa 01: Very short. Horror. For fans.
Hozuki no Reitetsu 01: Daily life of the aide of the king of hell. For viewers who can understand the references and/or appreciate the humor.
Wake Up, Girls! - 01
"The story is set during the "idol sengoku jidai" (idol warring stages period) and follows seven girls who persevere during these tumultuous times."
Idol group anime.
"Wake Up, Girls! - Seven Idols - 01" seems to be the movie, which was very nice, and
"Wake Up, Girls! - 01" seems to be the continuation as a TV series, which is slow moving, less well drawn/animated, and seems to fuddle around.
What happened to the movie's nice scriptwriter?
No-Rin - 01
"When the national idol Kusakabe Yuka suddenly retired from the entertainment business, it shocked the world and it devastated teenager Hata Kosaku. Kosaku was Yuka's biggest fan and her departure left him depressed. His classmates at the Tamo Agriculture School finally are able to get him to leave his room and attend his class, but to everyone's amazement, Kusakabe Yuka (her stage name) comes into the class under the name Kinoshita Ringo as a transfer student."
Idol goes farming.
The farming was not as good as in "Silver Spoon".
The style reminds me of "Baka to Test to Shokanju". Ah yes, same studio.
So, "Idiots and Idol"? Or is it going to be a romantic comedy of sorts?
Sekai Seifuku - Bouryaku no Zvezda - 01 ("World Conquest - Star Plot")
"Zvezda is a secret society that is bent on world conquest. It is led by a little girl named Kate Hoshimiya."
A loli wants to rule the world and is recruiting soldiers.
As the final result seems to be a destroyed world, I'm not sure it was a good idea.
Will this be a parody of the Roman Empire? The British Empire? The Chinese Empire? Some other empire?
Let's see the next episode.
Nisekoi - 01 ("Fake Love")
"Nisekoi follows high school student Raku Ichijou, the son of a leader in the yakuza faction Shuei-Gumi, and Chitoge Kirisaki, the daughter of a boss in a rival gang known as Beehive. They unexpectedly meet when Chitoge hops a wall and knees Raku in the face. After she runs off, Raku realizes he has lost his pendant which was given to him by his childhood sweetheart with whom he made a secret promise. After discovering Chitoge is a new transfer student in his class, he forces her to help him look for the pendant."
Eew, done by SHAFT. Meaning, very nice art/animation but completely unreal backgrounds. I'll need a few hours until my head stop spinning.
Wizard Barristers - Benmashi Cecil - 01
"In 2018, humans and wizards live together in Tokyo. Police continue to protect order in society, but wizards are tried according to magical law, in special courts defended by wizard barristers. At age seventeen, Cecile has just become the youngest wizard barrister, and begins work at the Butterfly Law Offices. While she hasn't realized it yet, she has tremendous magical potential."
Quick, call the fashion police, I saw a fashion victim!
What, she is the main heroine? And a lawyer?
No wonder ultra-violence is rampant in that world...
Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha - 01
"Inari Fushimi is a clumsy girl who has a crush on fellow classmate Ko-ji Tanbabashi. One day, after rescuing a fox pup named Kon from falling into a river, Inari is greeted by a shrine god named Uka-no-Mitami-no-Kami, who gives Inari a portion of her power, allowing her to transform her appearance to that of any other human."
Magical girl, with a sidekick.
Ah, similar to Gingitsune/Silver_Fox, another fox deity misusing her allotted divine power... not once, but twice this time. Why don't they have some kind of quality assurance system in the heavens to prevent this kind of recurring problem?
what the fuck why did they do that?
I heard somewhere that Japan doesn't give .9 fucks about Watamote.
It's just a more unrealistic/moé/whatever take on the whole Welcome to the NHK!, Genshiken, etc. thing. The character isn't interesting or pitiable when she's just a comic stereotype.
Watamote isn't that popular over there. I thought it was kinda decent
Anyone else watching it? Personally I loved the first few episodes and can't wait for more!
Why don't they just build bigger walls?
Ah, but would that really keep the megatitans out?
pretty interesting anime...
I liked it up until the titan transformation. Feels like a huge ass pull.
huh, well that twist at the end was a surprise
Has anyone noticed that AoT's plot is essentially that of Doom: Repercussions of Evil?
Eren Jaeger waited. The 3DMGs around him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were titans inside the walls. He didn’t see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Darius were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Eren was a 104th Corpse graduate for four years. When he was young he watched the soldiers and he said to mom “I want to be in the Survey Corps mommy.”
Mom said “No! You will BE KILL BY TITANS”
There was a time when he believed her. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the forest beyond the walls he knew there were titans.
“This is Darius” the radio crackered. “You must fight the titans!”
So Eren gotted his sword and cut down the forest.
“HE GOING TO KILL US” said the titans
“I will eat him” said the female titan and she chomped at him with her teeth. Eren sworded at her and tried to cut her neck. But then the tree fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
“No! I must kill the titans” he shouted
What about the key to the basement?
It's almost September. What are you going to pick up next season? I'm very excited for the baseball anime
【Next's season chart】 http://i4.minus.com/ibpdy6o55LnlmA.jpg
I'm picking up:
Kill la Kill
Only that bug one looks interesting.
kill la kill and kyousogiga -- very excited about these ha ha ha
Little Busters! Refrain. I hope they do it right!
Pupa looks interesting
Non Non Biyori is very good.
When the hell are pupa, Lupin and Neppu going to air? I've almost forgotten about them
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - 01
Story: "The story is set in a world embroiled by war between Humans and Demons. The Humans' greatest hero invades the Demon Queen's castle determined to vanquish her. However, instead of fighting back, the Queen proposes an alliance with the Hero. She explains how a sudden end to the war can bring further chaos to the world as the Humans once united to stand against their common enemies would eventually begin fighting among themselves, with similar issues already occurring at the Demon Realm. Convinced by her words, the Hero joins forces with the Queen and together they execute a plan to bring prosperity and a lasting peace to both Humans and Demons alike."
Genre: Cultural warfare.
Comments: Ah, it's quite different from the manga, I was expecting something darker, not something lovey-dovey like in a shojo manga. Hopefully it'll get better, but so far I'm a little bit disappointed.
Outbreak Company - 01
"Having a light novel author father and an eroge illustrator mother, Kanou Shinichi is a thoroughbred otaku. However he does not have any special power except for his broad knowledge, sharp insight, and impeccable instinct about "moe" and its products, from manga, anime, games, light novel and figures. One day he found himself transported to a fantasy world where elves live and dragons fly. And he is given a task -- not to fight monsters or embark on a quest, but to enhance cultural exchange by becoming a moe missionary in this fantasy world."
Wait... The ring translates magically the foreign words of Shinichi. So why didn't the maid put the ring on first? For national parallel dimension security reasons?
And if it was so important to not flub, why did the security guardian girl didn't show Shinichi pictures/videos of the Empress in advance?
And what was this blast of light? Did Shinichi create some kind of pink purple parallel paradox or something, the otherworld is now caving in at the event horizon, and they will have to emigrate en masse to Prime Earth?
Gingitsune - 01 (=Silver Fox)
"When her mother passed away at a young age, Saeki Makoto was given the power to see Gintaro, one of the gods' agents that have been protecting the small Inari temple since the Edo era. As only one person of the family can see the fox spirit, Gintaro, naturally as the only blood relative, when her mother passed on, Makoto inherited the sole power to talk to and see him. Although they have their differences, Makoto, with the help of Gintaro's power, help the people of their community deal and solve their problems."
Slice of miko life.
It reads like a Shinto promo. Nothing wrong with that, but I doubt this will keep my interest for long.
Makoto can't find a cat by herself and has to depend on someone else to divine where it is for her.
Gintaro can't even solve his own problems, like reconcile with his partner, or getting someone to dust up the shrines for him.
Even the customers are unhappy with the services, because they lack simple knowledge, like basic courtesy.
Meganebu! 01: Glasses freaks. For the fans of males bonding.
Ace of Diamond 01: Baseball. For the fans of sports anime.
Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai! 01: Girls wrestling. Too much screaming, not enough loving.
Walkure Romanze - 01 (=Valkyrie Romance)
"Walkure Romanze's story revolves around Takahiro Mizuno, a student studying at an academy with jousting as its main focus for sport."
Female knights on high horses.
I was surprised the jousters didn't end almost naked after a tournament.
And only four girls attracted to him? Not enough density for his singularity to reach black hole status, it seems. But hopefully we shall observe some good quantum effects during the interactions with those curved spacetimes.
Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova - 01
"One day, a fleet of ships with mysterious superweapons called the "Fleet of Fog" appeared all around the world. Humanity didn't have the technology to fight such a fleet, and they were driven out of the seas.
Seventeen years later, Gunzou Chihaya starts to fight the Fleet with a sentient Fog submarine given to him by his father..."
If the sentient battleships only follow orders, who are the players ordering the Fleet of Fog to maintain a blockade? And for what purpose? To force isolationism? I can't see something good coming from this in the long term. Which is probably why his father decided to give Gunzou the tools to open the cage.
Gundam Build Fighters 01: It's Gundam, need I say more?
Yowamushi Pedal 01: Road bicycle racing. For free men only.
Unbreakable Machine-Doll 01: Them fighting dolls. Hokum galore.
Non Non Biyori 01: Relaxing out there in the boonies. Schmooze, snooze.
Tokyo Ravens - 01
"Tsuchimikado Harutora was born into a prestigious Onmyoji family, but he can't see "spirit energy". Therefore, he's been enjoying a peaceful daily life with his friends at an Onmyo branch school. One day, his childhood friend Tsuchimikado Natsume, heir to the head family, suddenly appears. Will this cause his destiny to spring into motion?"
Started as a pastoral lovey-dovey story, ended with a hi-tech full war against the MIB (=Magical Investigation Bureau).
Let me see a few more episodes first to see how it coalesces.
NouCome - 01 (=My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy)
"The story revolves around a high-school boy named Amakusa Kanade with a supernatural ability, known as "Absolute Choice," that forces him to choose one of the two choices that pop into his head like a game -- otherwise it will not disappear. What he chooses becomes reality."
So, his life is like a game, and the one who programmed the choices is like the Eastern cousin of the Bastard Operator from Hell? Welcome to "Situation Normal, All Fucked Up".
Samurai Flamenco 01: wannabe hero effeminate male model, and manly cop covering for him covertly. No castanets?
BlazBlue 01: game promo on a budget. Will we get a plot? I dunno, probably not.
Galilei Donna - 01
"Galilei Donna follows the three Ferrari sisters who are descendents of the astronomer, Galileo Galilei. With a mysterious organization hunting them down, the three sisters must work together to fight against the organization."
It's been a while since the last airship chase, this could be fun.
Are they going to the Moon?
Hah~ What a shitty season that was. I didn't have the time to watch anime anyway
