I'm actually not really interested in who your favorite character is, but rather on the reasons that make you like him/her/it so much. So please don't just leave a name, but list the main reasons that motivate your choice (nice looks, cool powers, interesting personnality, lifestory, etc).

If you are hard pressed to chose an all time favorite, you can also cite some of your favorites.

So, to kick off this thread, here's my favorite character:

Reki, from Haibane Renmei: I like her looks, the multiple layers of her personality, and how these layers show up in details of her everyday behavior, making her more "real" (for instance, the fact that she's a smoking teenager). I also related well to her inner struggles, and enjoyed the way her conflict was brought to a closure.

Chloe from Noir. Because of her enigmatic appearance and her loyalty and love for Ultena and wanting to become Noir. She has a very sweet side personality and acts like a child.

Setsuna from Negima. Because she is the typical "I'm unworthy, I must protect Konoka at all times." Her fitting styles, her morals and her cool half demon heritage. I like.

Lastly.

Clare from Claymore. Vicious, cold, killer. But even proves to be a genuine character. She fights with purpose, self righteous and value.

I noticed.. all the characters I mentioned all fall into some sort of second yuri genre..
