Have you ever realized how unnatural and cringy the dialogue is in a lot of anime?
When I was a teen, I used to watch loads of moeblob anime and thought it was nice and cute etc. but then my irl Japanese friend told me that nobody actually talks like this in Japan except chuunis and manchildren.
We're on the same boat. I've been watching less and less anime per season because I cringe so hard whenever I hear those shitty voices. I can instantly drop an anime just because of its voice acting.
It's a cartoon. Do you think Americans talk like Bugs Bunny or something?
Bugs is based on Clark Gable's character from It Happened One Night so somewhat?
This thread is another example of how even the most obscure, hole-in-the-wall anime board is indistinguishable from reddit, MAL, 4chan and youtube comments. Just fucking shit-eating casual retards everywhere.
I haven't watched anime in a long time, but whenever I hear or see the usual characteristics of a moe anime it usually just makes me cringe and want to stop seeing or hearing it. I get its a cartoon, but even with some other ones they at least don't try to do what ever other anime is doing.
Why in the fucking world would I want to watch an anime with characters that act like real people? I watch anime to get away from annoying assholes, I don't want to see them there too. People who complain about there being no realism in fictional content are fucking retarded. You included, OP.
I notice it, but I'm not watching for real people. I'd just go outside if I wanted that.
Why the fuck would I want to emulate the real world in anime?
If you want anime to flawlessly replicate real life, then go watch movies or TV dramas. "The voices don't sound natural"; you'll notice the same about American cartoons. In fact, if you listen closely to the dialogue in a lot of movies you'll notice it's quite stilted and doesn't really sound much like how real people speak, even movies with good actors.
Naaa, goshujin-sama, genki genki?
