Somebody had to restart this thread. I hope it's okay if I do it.
You aren't mad at me, are you?

Were I a beginner or intending on making my code interface-able with, Python. Otherwise I'd pick Lisp (Scheme) because it is super nice and general purpose.
I don't know Haskell but I'd probably learn it just to understand its core ideas (I'm currently picking up OCaml and it is great).

Under the pretense that re-birth and karma and stuff are real, who or what were you in a previous life, and why?

I've always felt an affinity for trees, however my understanding is that you can only be reincarnated as a human or animal, so I couldn't have been a tree. Considering how much I like trees in bloom, I suppose it would make sense for me to have been a pollinator; perhaps a moth or a small bird.

Inspired by the fact that my captcha is kotch: the Koch snowflake has infinite length but finite area. How does this make you feel?
>>957
Alas, I am very much a jack-of-all-trades. I've a respectable grounding in Japanese language, organic chemistry, chaos theory, mathematics, cognitive psychology, cloudspotting and origami - but the only thing I could really unarguably call myself an expert in is Touhou.
>>959
What subject or subjects would you like to become an expert in?
>>962
Well, I played EVE Online a bit. It was something original and even some menial tasks like mining were fun at first, but then it seems that if you don't belong to some huge forum, you aren't going to get far. Far outside high security sectors. Eventually it will be too tedious and hardly rewarding and fun at all. It would be like going to work where you pay 15$ every month instead of getting paid.

Have you ever tried drawing with a tablet? How do I draw even such a basic thing as sketches and line art? Please teach me!
>>963
I've never used a tablet, but I've done some sketching with pencil and paper. Furthermore, I've never really had any serious tuition at all, which makes me probably not a very good teacher. The meagre advice I can offer you:
If you want some advice from people who actually know what they're talking about, try somewhere like ttp://tohno-chan.com/cr/res/412.html.

What is your opinion on the Double Dealing Character demo?
>>964
I thoroughly enjoyed it! The storyline is promising, the characters are cute and novel, and the gameplay is a huge improvement on Ten Desires. The danmaku is very straightforward and not too gimmicky, but it's still only the first three stages. The scoring mechanism is very good; it's intuitive, rewards taking risks, and doesn't cause problems for colourblind people (I'm looking at you, UFO). I'm waiting warmly for the full release.

What clubs were you a part of when you were at school?
>>965
I was in a robotics club in elementary school, using those LEGO robotics things and going to competitions and such. I was a master builder, but never bothered much with the programming.
In high school, I was in an after-school art program, doing ceramics and photography. It wasn't really a club, but I wasn't in any clubs in high school, so that's the closest thing to a club I had.
>>967
Have you ever done any ceramics? If so, do you prefer wheel-throwing or hand-building? Electric wheel or kick-wheel? Is this too many questions?
>>966
I've done a little ceramics, though it's been a while. I definitely prefer hand-building, mostly due to aesthetic preferences. Both methods are nice, but it really depends on the look you're going for. I don't have much experience with the wheel, and I've never used a kick one, so I can't really comment on that. Basically the more hands-on/traditional the methods, the more I tend to enjoy the work.

Without knowing anything about this game or its storyline, why do you think the girl in the menu is holding one of her socks?
>>979
Lately I enjoyed Dustforce and FTL sountracks a lot. I also like music of the original Deus Ex.
Whoops, forgot my question like I forget to stuff!..
>>982
How to concentrate on a TODO list (and make an efficient one in the first place)?
>>981
Write down tasks that are specific. Instead of "internet bill," write "call internet company support to ask about bill." Instead of writing "study for test" write "read pages 10-20 of DQN Textbook and complete 5 example problems." Instead of "clean room" write "-pick up books -put papers in file -vacuum" and do one at a time.
Don't try to assign tasks to specific times unless they need to be. I tried this and it failed miserably. Trust in your own ability to complete things at your leisure. Give yourself little rewards for completing tasks. Positive reinforcement is much easier than trying to force yourself to do or not do things.
The hardest part of a todo list is inertia. It easy to keep completing tasks once you get started, but getting started can be very difficult. Instead of vaguely thinking "I should get started on my todo list" focus on a specific physical action like closing your computer and standing up to get a glass of water, from which point you might find you have much more willingness to get started.

How many true friends do you have?
>>983
That's not stupid at all; I'm much the same. I just recently started reading Tsukihime, and the English patch has a long disclaimer saying you must agree to use this only with official copies, not with pirated versions, that left a lump in my throat. Pirating anime is somewhat justifiable as the anime companies don't really expect any significant sales outside of Japan anyway. Pirating games really does fuck over companies a lot though, especially the smaller ones.

If you could have any single superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
>>984
I'd like to say the power to add or remove any superpowers at will but I think that breaks the "single superpower" rule. It would be cool to have the matter-altering powers of Dr.Manhattan from Watchmen. I'd use it to make anime figurines and other stupid objects.

Since there's a 20% chance that you are >>972, why does she have that sock?

Spoilers follow; don't read if you've any intention of actually playing the game (and you should, it's good).
It's filled with rocks and soil. She's going to use it as a blackjack in order to beat another girl to death. The murder weapon can then be disassembled, and seeing as she's just a frail little girl with no known motive, she (hopefully) gets away with it.
Spoilers end here.

What is the most unusual plant or animal you have encountered near where you live?
>>986
Probably mukade. Google image search with caution. I've seen other miscellaneous weird bugs, but I have no idea what they're called or how to look them up.
>>989
What fruit or vegetable would you choose for a fruit/vegetable battle to the death?
Conditions: It should be considered to be of the average variety, so you can't say "the biggest pumpkin in the world". You can also prepare the fruit/vegetable however you like beforehand, but you can't combine it with other things. And you can only choose one, no sacks of potatoes.

I recently played Dust: An Elysian Tail and liked it a lot. Albeit it felt rather easy on normal difficulty. Should I restart it on harder or hardest difficulty or continue as it is?
By continue as it is do you mean just play it again on normal? Nah try it on a harder difficulty.
