this should be on bandcamp and/or soundcloud tbh
downloading ZIPs is for boomers
Also what's up with the intro?
>>203 I love bandcamp and soundcloud, but in this context, fuck that shit!
>>203 Personally I think the obscurity and mysteriousness and exclusivity of the DQN Electronics series is part of its charm, if downloading a zip is too much for someone then it's not really aimed at them I reckon!
Thinking about it being available to stream in an app leaves a funny taste in my mouth and I'm not sure why
>>208 's pal here. Sorry I was mostly absent this release. After getting two tracks ready on the last day I feel motivated to make more. And Seeing >>203 I'm thinking of a Boomer themed track for the intermission. "DQN Electronics, now that's a compilation, heh. you digital kids don't know what real music is"
I think it would be cool to have all the submissions on a Google drive or something so single track collaborations would be easier. I think the tracks >>208 and I did for the intro and outro last time turned out great.
Also, what was the inspiration for these tracks? And what does the intro mean? What was it supposed to be like with the collab you were talking about?
>>212
I've been seeing that meme trending and being 30 years old, I love that the way it's spread, I often can't tell whether it's shots fired at someone hopelessly stuck in 80s-00s nostalgia or some based guy who enjoys life just doing whatever with modest means.
>>214
Well I've noticed it makes fun of lawn mowing, energy drinks, nostalgia, and also having money (because younger generations think they're poorer, and it might actually be true). As in, the 30 year old boomer doesn't understand the plight of young people who are struggling to get by, or something like that.
I guess my understanding of it is that it's just supposed to be hyperbole and making it sound like 30 year olds are geriatrics even though they're not. 30 year olds aren't exactly young anymore, but they're not 80 year olds, which is basically how Gen Z sees them.
I think >>198 wanted to have the dialogue he recorded to play before an actual song. In Vol. 1 I made two goofy songs and send the individual tracks of both songs over to >>208 for him to add his own style. They both sounded really empty before he finished them. The inspiration for the intro and outro to Vol. 1? I really hate the song Creep by Radiohead and wanted to fuck with it. And I really love the Cheers theme song and thought it would be fitting to end the comp with "Cheers"
personally I really like the intro as it is
>>219 What do you think it means? What can you infer from the context?
>>220
You tell me. I'm asking for the intent, not my interpretation.
>>221 I didn't make it, I'm just asking because it's better when the viewer/listener forms their own understanding instead of the artist holding your hand and spelling it out for you. Personally I like it because it gives me a sort of nostalgic feeling for those halcyon days when I was on the DQN junior payscale. I mean, the extra money and security is nice, but I kind of miss getting my hands dirty at the foot of the Superstructure.
I picture an army (or maybe platoon) of the 6 DQN users armed with a keyboard and internet connection preparing to destroy the internet with their tomfoolery.

the unaboomer
>>223 Yeah, pretty much! I heard it and thought "that would be quite fun as an intro if I change it to say DQN". It was also sampled around the time when there was more hostility and heated debates about Americentric opinions and what we do here etc.
My favourite intro is either Vol. 9 or 11's

>>225 nasushit and its consequences have been a disaster for the entire human race, they just don't make VNs like they used to.
Hmm, no, I don't think so? What do you mean?
Check it out saiiko2 I also sampled that angry DJ once https://infinityof6.bandcamp.com/track/water
jAAjaaYYyyZzzzussss!!
Hey!! It's crazy that fourchyuh is making music like the SAoVQ again.
If you guys are having problems with downloads, would it be helpful for me to download it and then make a torrent? I generally leave my laptop on while I am at work and could seed all day.
I just listened to

And that ending was...honestly really cute.
