I feel a warm resistance
Beneath the outer layer
What once moved living organs
Leaks through a thin veneer
Blue blooded royal body
Elegantly posed to death
Not speaking prince now are you?
Not breathing one more breath

Just now the curtain's folding
It falls and lies to rest
So selfish royal brother
You've loved your wife to death
Your ways could not continue
You'd rule with hateful hands
I called you toward the staircase
And I caused your violent end

Q:
So, I was wondering something pretty simple. How to search for japanese communities on the net? Like, a community on a certain manga/anime or a certain game, etc...

A:
There is no one place to find communities of fans in Japan. There are some on twitter, there are others on 2ch, others on pixiv, youtube, etc. It depends on the community.

It's a stack-based language, and it's entirely dynamic, so e.g. defining a function expects the name and body of the function to be on the stack.
So that makes a lot of normal code constructs need you to write "backwards" (e.g. [6] "test" string->symbol define instead of the more normal-looking define test [6] to define test as a function that just pushes a 6 to the stack).

So I added quote, which just reads in the very next thing and puts it on the stack without trying to interpret it as a function reference, and uplevel, which basically interprets the thing on top of the stack in its caller's context. This means that you can e.g. define a function that outlives the context in which it was defined.

Thus, in order to get sensible-looking syntax like if, while, define, whatever, you define it yourself, and quote and uplevel are a minimal way of doing so.

almonds and pistachio trees average a gallon of water consumed per nut produced as they're conventionally grown

the trees themselves are "drought tolerant" but they stop producing nuts in drought conditions

>>168 I think just about any nut or fruit tree is going to have that problem. If your conditions for an acceptable plant are:
-drought resistant, don't need much water to come to fruit
-neutral flavor, pairs with many different spices and cuisines
-grindable into flour

then there are already a bunch of cereals and pulses that fit that, no need to go into trees which will inherently use more water due to their structure and physiology.

171 Name: (*゚ー゚) : 1993-09-9061 17:06

UBI, huh? Who is going to pay for it, genius?
>>160
Wow, it's that simple! All problems are solved. But wait, if you try to tax rich people in one country, they will flee to another country. Then you get even less taxes and jobs. No, that's not a solution. Besides, the devil is in the details. "Tax" is too vague. Actual numbers make the difference between sinking or swimming.
But do all of you really think that an entrepreneur should make just as much as someone who never did anything with their life and just works at Mcdonald's? Do you think that unemployed people should have no incentive to work?
Not everyon deserves the same amount of money.
>>161
That's an interesting take on it. I don't know of such a tree, but I like the idea behind it. You see, a lot of people these days think of wealth as a zero-sum game. As in, the only way to get more wealth for yourself is to take it from other people. But in reality, wealth can be created, not just redistributed. If two people are poor, one might propose taking more from the other person. Or if they both plant two trees, they will both be richer, not just taking something to benefit one person at the expense of another. Something for self-described "communists" or "socialists" to think about.
Wealth creation and job creation are very important. People need to stop obsessing over just plain old redistribution (a.k.a. theft).

Israel is propped up by America.

And yes, whether you like it or not, rich people go to tax havens. You know anything about the whole Apple/Ireland controversy? They didn't pick Ireland for the culture or location. It was for tax reasons. But if Ireland decides that Apple owes them more taxes, guess what? Apple might move out of Ireland and go elsewhere. That's just a fact of life. You can't have one country with immense taxes on the rich when there are other countries that are more than willing to host them for less money.

That being said, do you really think all rich people are evil? If everyone was a lazy socialist, we'd never get anywhere. Entrepreneurs have invented so many things. Sure, there are some downsides to certain things, but I think it's all too easy to be critical of people's success, and discounting the fact that plenty of wealthy people actually earned their money.
