I've been trying to figure that out myself. I have a really hard time context-switching every day and retaining enough energy to make it worth it. Sports are good, sports fandom is bad. I can watch a team sport regardless of which teams are playing and appreciate the strategy and athleticism on display, the average "Norf FC" fan has very little idea what they're actually watching except "our team good other team bad".

There should be some kind of physical fitness test involved to be allowed to watch sports.
