This song is nice.

Though the initial Alvin and the Chipmunks album did not sell well and was condemned by the ASPCA, it did prove Ross Bagdasarian's theory that rodents could mimic human speech through the targeted application of high voltage. Though critics often explain away Bagdasarian's results as the result of clever sound editing, over a hundred hours of documentary film footage has recently been uncovered proving that the sounds produced were recorded live and were unaltered, though clearly looped for obvious reasons. The recording process was arduous, with over thirty squirrels perishing in the effort to record the long "e" sound in the chorus (oo ee oo ah ah) of "The Witch Doctor" alone.

8 Name: ( ˃ ヮ˂) : 1993-09-6708 22:59

The dark side of Alvin and the Chipmunks does not end there, of course. "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" borrows heavily from Jonathan Aibel's short story "Gulag Rape Barge," the basic plot elements of which are so unspeakably vile that they cannot be printed even here for risk of this site being shut down as obscene.

9 Name: ( ˃ ヮ˂) : 1993-09-6708 23:05

should have been "framed loosely on" rather than "borrows heavily from." Fuck it. autisssssm.

I see that it's snowing so I figure it's a good day to for hike through the forest. Somehow my dog actually finds me but does not bother to make it known that he is behind me for ten minutes. Then he shook the snow off his back. The sudden sound of his ears flapping in the dead quiet of the forest that I had been experiencing for the last 30 minutes scared the living shit of me.

Man, the Artist, can only reframe. My cat is sleeping on my feet. But my arms, in their rest, within every orifice hold only pillows. I drew a picture of Espeon and I'm not crazy. I'm not fucking crazy. Get out of my head, I am not a number. I am a free man! Let me be fabulous through the ends of time and space. Get off my ``back''. You're not my mother. Man enters the world as he leaves it, alone. It's my destiny to live life alone. Espeon, I long for you. Some day I will make the trip to Mother I have it taped to the wall beside my bed. Every night before I(the Poke) go to sleep I kiss it. If I feel lonely, I pet it like a real cat. Russia. I will cross the icy Bering Strait in this boat I made by hand. Whose eyes are these looking back at me? These hands are cold, they are a dead man's hands. There's nothing like a leper. On the left, the index is longer; on the right, the ring. We are who we will be and have been. The timeline is a lie. There only is the present. We ARE humans, being. We live and live on.

Lol, wut?

In his downtime, of which there was a great deal due to the wonders of modern technology, Mike had edited several sections and added much more to his copy of the Emergency Procedures binder. Obviously the first step was to remove the warning to DO NOT ALTER THIS DOCUMENT. Every potential disaster had been covered from Airplane Crash to Zombie Apocalypse in his custom edition. As he flipped through it and found he had woefully neglected to provide an updated index, the thing that struck him most about his present situation was that the police department had hold music on their 9-1-1 line. Cowering beneath his desk, he asked himself "Jesus fuck, is that Brittney Spears?" It was just in time for the operator to hear it.

Exasperated, he half yelled and whispered, "What the fuck? Where is the SWAT team? He's killing people!" To prove a point, there were several gunshots followed by screaming in the distance. All that stood between him and the killer tearing up the office was a sturdy door, utterly nullified in its purpose by a glass panel right next to it that went from floor to ceiling. If they kicked it out, anyone could just let themselves in from the outside.

Mike laughed nervously, mostly because he had replaced the Air Disaster page of the emergency procedures with the image macro of a very fat black woman captioned They be all like, you need pants to fly along with a checklist that included (3.) Search for survivors (unless pictured above). "I don't fucking know. He was screaming about someone named leon or peon or some shit. Why is no one here yet?!"

Now, on /jp/, he normally uses Tokiko images that are named from 001 to 211, much like these vip-quality.org/tokiko/. Now, that site is run by Archduke, world2ch.org/board/kareha.pl/1309581864/, what does that mean? I don't know, I'm just talking out of my ass here.

I mentioned the past thread that I found my new favorite video game of all times: Turbofloorplans Pro Version 12. Given a new toy, the first thing I can think is: how can I use this for evil?

So... Ifve been designing a cult compound. It comes complete with an industrial kitchen, rows of bunk beds, communal dining, a place to keep the guard dogs that are let out at night to keep any doubters in, and of course, a relatively opulent spread for the cult leader. I also planned ahead and made sure that the refrigerators and pantries are in a vault-like storage room as I understand that one of the keys to brainwashing is controlling food...

Mornings are the worst. From the moment my alarm clock goes off until the moment I walk out the door I am nothing but a vessel of vitriol, cursing myself and the world at every turn.

The best point of the day is late afternoon, when I finally leave work. As I go home, I make plans to cook a delicious healthy dinner, to finish unfinished projects, to better my life. But when I step through the door, exhaustion and apathy kicks in. I allow myself a short rest and before I know it dinner time has long passed. I survive on snacks and precooked food.

The series would end with me tied up as a target. LHC would then shoot at a ragdoll which resembles me. It would catch on fire and explode. Fade out. Credits. Cut to me dressed up like a clown with something that might be a really unusual weapon. End.

Precisely. Same with Touhou, Tetris and even the Rubik's Cube. But these are all games I can play as fast as I want, the amount to which I can blind myself to all other thoughts proportional to the attention I give them. Why do things not be self-contained units? Like in contemporary times we imagine, say, an album. That album is made up of songs. Is this a recent thing? Sometimes classical music is confusingly organized. Perhaps the apparently "simple" notion of artist - album - track is new. Maybe the terminology has just changed. Same with different media in different cultures. Is that doujinshi a sequel to the previous one? How do I know which to read next? Is this truly as confusing as I'm making it out to be? Of course every person has to make one thing, then the next. That's just logical. Or is it? I don't even know.

391 Name: ( ˃ ヮ˂) : 1993-09-6739 00:17

Not sure if this is what you mean, but...

Artists do sometimes produce nodal points which are intended to be self-contained or at least connect in non-linear ways. A number of mainstream TV shows are intended to make sense when watched in any order, for viewers that come in late in the season. In music there's Ilkae's Pistachio Island, "best heard on shuffle." In anime there's Haruhi, aired out of chronological order. In literature there's Nabokov's "Pale Fire", where the annotations make up half the book, causing the reader to flip back and forth between the poem and annotations out of order, trying to solve the mystery.

I had awful dreams last night. I wandered around in pitch black buildings while it rained heavily outside. I think I was in a dorm room of some kind. Near the end (before I woke up) I was wandering around in some big building in Minecraft made completely out of obsidian with some glass windows, too, but I didn't want to break any. It was dark and rainy there, too. For some reason, Sparky4 also lived in the dormitories where I wandered, and everyone else there was faceless and it was hard to understand what they said. Sparky was crazy as ever though so I just stayed away.

Less the days I've just slept through, less the days I suppose I was dragged out of bed or lifted out, I figure I have succeeded in getting out of bed close to 9,800 times. Today was the exception, though. I must have been lying down in such a way that my leg fell asleep. When I went to stand up, I put all my weight on it and that leg didn't much notice or care and I fell flat on my ass.

If it's fluffy then it's a stratocumulus.
If the cloud reaches the ground (fog or mist) it's a stratus.
If it doesn't, it's either stratus or altostratus.

The hate is too abundant. || How can I spread love?

Love is a feeling, is the feeling, is any feeling, which involves you and a person, the person or any person. The least risk is involved when you wait for the other person to make the first move, but then it might never happen at all. You can invalidate the opinions of people who don't love you, because you are actually a wonderful person; thus, there is no risk involved in having a go at achieving love.

This sort of meta-drama and attention is what Tokiko wants. Go lurk /jp/ for a few days and you will see is the kind of person to make ridiculous off-topic posts just for the heck of it. "Hey /jp/, why don't we put sage in the name field? It would be great! Also I know who 0037 is and I read shii's wiki so I know what I am talking about!" He knows he is antagonizing people and he tries to justify it with the usual, "Oh but I'm just trying to have an on-topic conversation and you're all attacking me..." defense. Even Jkid didn't try this hard to make an e-persona for himself.

I find Espeon sort of cute. He seems quite sincere and at least makes topical posts. If people didn't kick up a fuss about him I wouldn't mind him being here at all.
Tokiko is the real problem. He is very obnoxious. Whereas Espeon is probably a nerd in his twenties or thirties and knows the ropes of the Internet, Tokiko sounds like a teenager who read a Usenet FAQ and decided he was an expert in Internet culture. Now whenever he role plays his little romance with Espeon, it creates problems for everybody and turns Espeon into a bad poster. I don't really blame Espeon for this; it's human nature to reciprocate when someone is nice and gives you attention.

Actually I wanted to comment on a clip of My Little Pony I was cruelly linked to by a so-called friend.

The art style is lazy and haphazard - completely unimpressive. From what I've seen, dialogue proceeds at a moderate pace, though anything of consequence to the plot is rarely said. Evidently there exists very little story at all, as the show relies entirely on per-character gimmicks to fill time. I mean, that's perfectly fine if you enjoy pointless small talk and modern pop-comedy (overuse of the word "awesome", for one). It leaves nothing to be discovered, though, and everything to be desired.

I guess with anime's continually growing popularity in the west, and the growing moe trend within the anime industry, it would make sense that western animation fans, too, adopt the attitudes of the Japanese audience responsible for said trend.

Well, I finished watching the remaining seasons of Family Guy. My conclusion is that the series has descended from a platform for edgy hit-or-miss jokes into just another mediocre cartoon.

As with earlier seasons, Family Guy has potential but almost invariably falls short. Take, for example, "Brian & Stewie", the climactic 150th episode. It's essentially a one act play of Seth MacFarlane talking to himself for an hour. It was a brave step into philosophical territory, and I wanted to like it. I hoped it would finally redeem the series. But in the end, Seth MacFarlane is no Samuel Beckett, and the episode fell short of the insight I longed for, in favor of TV-flavored pseudo-depth.

So, a loli and a shota switch bodies, like in that movie who's title I forget, and then the loli (inside the shota's body) needs to pee. Naturally, she doesn't know what to do, being in a boy's body, so she asks the shota to help. Long story short, she starts to get into it, gets an erection, and the boy decides to help her and they end up having sex while their bodies are swapped.

What's important in life? What's important to me? Do I want to live a happy or a meaningful life? I guess that it's just a matter of preference, but my rationalisations have made it impossible to pinpoint my exact desires. I guess that being able to percieve from different perspectives is a blessing and a curse; I have lost my sense of self. This freedom used to be something I longed for, but now it just leaves me directionless, floating. A human being isn't capable to create something out of nothing; our lives revolve around our environment and how we react upon it.

Libraries should be pleasant places.
That tranquil atmosphere, where two guys on opposite sides of the U-shaped table can completely ignore each other indefinitely,
the read-books-in-silence mentality, that's what's great about this place.
Women and children are welcome too, I suppose.

A very nice friend of mine took me on a trip to Portland, ME for a day. A city that I love but never get to visit more than once a year.
It was so much fun. I never get to go to cities. I loved seeing the huge buildings and ships which dwarfed in size the humans that built them. And me. It's an old city where the majority of buildings are still brick and mortar and feature artistic architecture. What few new buildings I saw were usually governmental and had a drab square look to them. I took so many pictures on my shitty camera phone. Something I noticed is that people in cities actually know how the fuck to dress themselves and do no seem to be ignorant of personal hygiene. Everyone seemed to dress in one of three ways: Formally, artistic, or fashionable. It was quite a difference from the norm I am used to where everything is either men with blue jeans and carheart jackets and missing teeth or women to forget to change out of their sleepwear to greet the day. I really wish to move to Portland.

I can never tell if my headphones are slightly louder in one ear. Perhaps it's something to do with my computer or sound card or my ears themselves, or maybe it's just the way my music and videos are mixed.

Or it could just be that the headphones are damaged. I find that after a while mine get pulled on enough that the sound on one side starts to falter and then dies and I have to replace them.

Just put your headphones the other way and listen to them again, >>954.

In case of >>960's problem, I would suggest headphones like Sennheiser HD280. They have a replacable telephone cord-like cable which goes only in one earcup. Their closed-back circumaural design provides a relatively good isolation from other sounds. And they aren't too pricey these days.

I bet its price would be around a half of a set. However, I never broke one due in about three years to its coiled single-sided design.

A cable will stay as short as possible without causing discomfort. It won't get bend in terrible ways due to its form and thickness.
