Okay, first off, I'm a guy, but all three genders are welcome to participate in this thread.
I've always had short hair, but I decided to let it grow and see what happened. Four months later, it reaches down to the back of my neck. The horrible phase where it's all over the place and you can't do anything with it (a phase that a long-haired friend warned me about) seems to be pretty much over. It can look kinda wild between shampoos (the only hair care product I'm using, BTW), but sometimes in a good way.
I'm so lazy with my hair. It's depressing. I just let it grow as long as it gets and poorly cut it myself once or twice a year.
tied them into a ponytail is the only thing i do when i grow my hair until it almost reached my butt, or go to a hair dresser and ask them to make a good long haired style
When you run your fingers along your scalp and it doesn't feel all nice and clean, it's time to shampoo. I'm pretty sure this is about every second day for most people. Use conditioner every time, or every second time to keep it shiny and nie looking, and in good condition.
i'm growing all hair on my body now for 3 months (4?), including facial hair. i kinda look fuzzy, and after a few days of not showering, i look like a mad scientist, i.e. hair sticking out in all directions. i like the effect it has on people. i talk like a normal person, i say things a normal, fairly intelligent person would say, but at the same time i look like a russian rapist of some sort. i love how it confuses people.
The fuzzy caveman is NOT good looking. Even if it "looks cool". Many friends of mine went for it, only to find out they're better off shaving.
One thing a beard/stubble really needs to work is for your follicles to be even across your face. For instance, at the moment my cheeks have yet to catch up with the density of stubble as my jawline and neck. So I shave every day because it looks neater. I like having stubble though, so if my cheeks do catch up, I'll probably start to do stubble, but keep it shaped.
Long hair will make you sweat more so be sure to take lots of showers
