Breakfast! (45)

Morning 4-ch!

I've been hopeless with breakfast for a while now, in that I just don't eat something suitable. It can sometimes been a muesli bar or something when I'm on the run, or pieces of chicken (which I understand would be horrible for me seeing how greasy they are).

So, I'm curious to hear, what do other 4-ch'ers eat, or can recommend?

Vegemite on toast, and a cup of tea. Maybe some fruit if I'm feeling like it.

Go without, and lunch is so much better.

5 Name: Anonymous Chef : 2007-10-17 15:38 ID:Nz5LP8Kg

Bread, something to put on it, like pasteti or some milk based spread, herbal tea, coffee. Sometimes spam. Have been eating honey and butter on bread as well. Or just bread if I'm on the run. Should eat a fruit - but this is 6am we're talkin'n about... Coffee is the only thing I crawe at that ungodly hour.

~_~' I never wake up early enough for breakfast, It seems when I wake up I have enough time to get ready and leave for either work or school. A big lunch is always good tho :D So my breakfast is lunch.

I don't eat breakfast at all really...I usually have lunch between 10:30AM and 1:00PM. Which, usually is when I get up for the day most of the time.
Sometimes though, on rare occasions, I eat Kashi. Other than that, breakfast isn't my thing...although I know I should...x.x

I like bagels.

One morning-bagel is everything of my life. I usually eat one bagel and drink a cup of black cofee. Any kind of bagels can be fine, as long as it has a hole.

With one bagel, it is impossible that I would be hopeless with breakfast, because the bagel gives me tons of hope and hapiness. If I were made to choose between the world without bagels and death, I would choose later, that's guaranteed.

So, I believe that bagels are one and the only way for you to get back your hope.

Have a good bagel, friend.

Milk, chocolate, cookies. Orange juice when there's some in the fridge.

Sometimes milk and cereals.

Can also be tea/coffee and crackers with jam/honey, but requires more time so I usually leave that for the days off.

Haven't had any yet. I'm waiting till my dad goes out. Then I'm having a liquid breakfast...pot of tea and a bottle of whiskey.

Fuck you, >>29 you set off my nicotine cravings.

Usually my breakfast is a sandwich from a vending machine, eaten as I walk to my cubicle at work. T_T;

32 Name: Anonymous Chef : 2008-05-27 20:44 ID:5zdGOoGD

When I work, my breakfast is a pack of the cinnamon pop tarts. You people are way too fucking creative with your elite breakfasts.

But on days off, I will eat anything. The idea of eating specific foods at specific times is very strange to me.

This morning I had a piece of Mackinaw Island Fudge Torte cake and a glass of milk.
Sometimes I'll have miso soup.
Sometimes I'll just eat M&Ms and Cheez-Its, or Koala's March.
Sometimes danishes.
Rice is good.

33 Name: Anonymous Chef : 2008-05-30 01:05 ID:Df3P9tWI

Toast with nutella.

34 Name: Anonymous Chef : 2008-06-01 18:34 ID:C8XWFdvG

Usually I eat last night's leftovers.

Anyway, when there are no leftovers available, I usually eat either:

a) Rice with two fried eggs on top, with furikake.
b) Fried rice with egg and butter.

If there is no rice, then I just eat some toast with butter...sometimes (very rarely since I generally dislike eating sweet things in the morning) I'd munch on some chocolate chip cookies with milk...

Bruscetta al capreisi.

Take some french bread, and slice it. Choppp up some fresh garlic very finely and mix with live oil. Then press the bread onto the garlic/oil mix on both sides so it soaks it up.

Next chopp up some fresh basil very finely (cheffonade cut), dice some tommatoes, and some buffalo mozzarella.. mix the mozeralla , basil, and tomatoes in a bowl with some balsamic vingear and toast the bread. when its done, top the bread with said basil/tomato mix with the chees. springle some fresh ground black pepper and maybe some parmessian on top and enjoy. fresh breakfast. preferably with something mild like lemonaide.

Yesterday morning I decided to get a bit wild with my eggs:

First I sauted my onions in butter, added a little bit of soysauce. Sauted sliced cherry tomatoes.

Beat eggs with spices (salt, pepper, dried garlic). Once onions were browned on the edges (difficult to tell with the soysauce but you can start smelling the onions), poured the mixture of eggs.

Cooked one side, flipped it to cook the other.

Not sure what these kinds of eggs are called, I just call them "Special."

Usually I don't add cherry tomatoes. I'm fine with sauted onions in my eggs.

// Would've been better with crab meat though. :(

I'm not a morning person so when I have to wake up to catch the train to school, I make sure to sleep in as late as I possible can... meaning I'm running along the train as it enters the station.

::sighs:: No breakfast for me.

But I try once a month to get breakfast. My ideal meal if French toast, scrambled eggs, and six slices of bacon.
