Dark Chocolate for Valentine's Day HELP OTL (3)

Soo...Valentine's Day is coming up and I am hoping to make chocolates for my girlfriend...HOWEVER! I do not have much experience with cooking and I don't know where to start. I'm hoping to make some dark chocolate thing for her without using chocolate chips (as in use cocoa powder). Is this possible? Also, if I don't have a mold, is it still possible to make this?

I realized I don't have nearly enough materials to make dark chocolate so I might just buy dark chocolate chips or bars. That works....right?

Use dark semi-sweet baking chocolate? Melt it in a double boiler and...

...if you want to cast it into individual candies, you will need a mold of some kind. Would an ice cube tray work or would it be too messy? Ice cube sized hunks of dark chocoloate would be very big, too.

Would you want to mix raisins or peanuts into it?
