[X360] Are Microsoft Points/Gold really worth it? (1)

I just scored a great deal on a 360: Core upgraded to Premium, two wireless and one wired controller, DVD remote, HD component cables, Perfect Dark Zero, and Condemned (Trade-in fodder, probably).

I want to get Street Fighter II, maybe a custom icon that suits me a little better. Is $20 worth it for 1600 points? Or is it not really worth it?

Same goes for a Gold subscription. I have a $50 credit to Overstock and I'm torn between kicking the price of Dead Rising way down or getting the 12-month card. I'd love to get into the multiplayer gaming seeing as I don't really have the time to sit down and do big single-player affairs like Oblivion, but I do want to keep a nice balance struck. I got this for the deal so I could play Dead Rising, Halo 2, Battlefield 2, SFII, and Ninety-Nine Nights, as well as anything interesting in the future.

So what do you guys think? Drop the cash on the points and customize things? Or just get smaller increments as I need them?

Oh, also, I want to get a totally custom faceplate done. I don't want anything on Decalgirl and I'd rather have a real plate, not a skin. Anyone know an artist who does custom jobs?
