I was ready to pass on this game, but then I saw the comics. Now I'm not so sure anymore. D-Damn you, Atlus!

the game itself is really good, but, just wait for the US release...it should be easier when you reach the lower parts of the labyrinthical forest...

i doubt it, to be honest. if enough people buy this game, atlus will probably make ETRIAN ODYSSEY 2

...although they're probably making a Shin Megami Tensei for the DS anyway.

IT'S OUT AND IT'S AWESOME.

On the first floor, at the first room, at the top right; there's a secret passage way. Beyond that passage way is a place where you can chop shit and get items.

Make 5 Survivalists and allocate all their skill points to Chop.
Replace your current party with the survivalists.

You can get 30 chops and not run into a single battle.
You can easily make around 500en + 100en if you sell their equipment. To repeat, go to the inn, go to sleep, and go back down.

what lvl should I be before trying to kill the first foe thing on lv3?

I hear people say that you can take Stalker around Lv. 15, about the same time that you're ready to take Fenrir.

This fifth stratum is kicking ass.

Holy shit. Now I have a reason to buy a DS.

So who is playing the sequel that just came out?

Not all that much has changed, game system-wise. The classes seem a bit better balanced, and I like how you have access to all but one of them off the bat. Gunners are awesome (do front-line damage from the back, and have elemental skills that can rival an Alchemist's for single enemies), I haven't used the other new classes much yet.

The difficulty is hardcore. Look forward to grinding your party to level 15 before you can pass the third floor.

I'm playing it. I'm still on the second floor. It is much harder than the first game...pretty surprised, actually.

I didn't beat the first game yet either, so I'm juggling the two, which is probably why I'm moving so slowly.

Oh God, these games are horrid.
Enjoy seeing nothing but the same fucking motif being repeated every two steps.

By motif I'm guessing you mean the environments? Because they do change. Every stratum is five floors and each stratum looks different.
