Why are people so shitty with those of us who don't use the headset?

back in my day (Starsiege: tribes) we didn't have no crappy-ass talking during online games! in fact, using something like that prolly would have made us lag so horribly that we'd be insta-killed. kids these days...

to be honest, even though i have a headset have you ever tried to endure the 5 year old halo3 lobbys? not worth the hassle. if people are shitty with you, send them bad feedback or just send them the good old (im better than you so go fuck yourself) in text. :)
