have you played spore yet? did you like it? i personally thought it was a little bit repetative and once you get to space age it gets pretty boring to fast..... i think it was a great concept but poorly excecuted on their part. i think another company should try redoing this and making a good game this time.

I tested it quickly (but not fully yet). Only played phase 1 and 2. Found them really boring. The gameplay so far is too simple, even with a Sim we have way much to do. The customizations / evolutions of the creature are nice though. But in the two first phases there is nothing to do. Phase 1 : eat, don't get eaten. Phase 2 : Sing, Fight. Am I missing some things ?

>>2 thats how i found the entire game to be.... you can't really lose at any point... you can die but it doesn't do anything, you don't lose anything, there are no penelties.....

Phase 1 could actually be the one that gets the best out of the creature creation, givent parts you put on and how you put them on actually affects gameplay.

The game is actually good but should be play not too much at a time. If you go hardcore on it you'll get bored pretty soon I guess.

Also don't buy it. Installs SecuROM crap, one user per account/account per install/install per computer, three installs then need activation from EA consumer service... who completely ignore any complaints on the forums (and I don't mean just random rantings, but legitimate complaints).

Here for a quick topo. http://uk.pc.gamespy.com/pc/spore/909755p1.html

There has been the Spore Amazon fiasco also if you haven't heard about it - the day it came out, a barrage of 1-star review has been launched spontaneously from customers all over the world, because of the DRM issues.

I think EA's behaviour might be a good idea for another thread actually.

Yes, instead you get a completely different game with poor graphics, lame puzzles, awkward controls, and even less depth than the PC version.

Most crash-prone game I've played for quite some time.
