Persona 5 is such a damn long game. I've been playing it since it came out in the UK in what little gaps of free time I have and I've only just gotten to December.
It's a great game, but it's been a while since I played something this long. I'm getting fatigued.

The story is interesting enough to me and the writing it's absolutely superior to IV, a game that I didn't like at all.

Can I ask what you think is better about the writing in IV:A? I can see you liking it more because the story itself is more densely packed and there seems to be just more story in general, but the characters (besides maybe Dagda and the Divine Powers) are just so fucking bad and pandering in my opinion. Not to offend the rest of the thread, but IV:A seems to be taking lots of things from Personas 3-5, which I very much don't like and don't think is a good direction for the series.

Agree to disagree I guess. I enjoyed the slow burn of IV's beginning, and since I hadn't really seen any promo material for the game, I wasn't spoiled for the Tokyo reveal or anything else.

I'm fucking hyped for whatever the new game will be (I'm assuming SMT V because of the 25th anniversary logo). It looks like a return to form for SMT with how minimal/abstract the teaser was. With that said, I kind of doubt we'll get anything new for that project until Deep Strange Journey comes out in Japan at least.

I was spoiler free too when I played the game but I still didn't like how slow everything was before getting out of Mikado.

It definetely felt like a teaser in the vein of III with all those shadowy demons around...big boy Mara was in the trailer too as usual.

Never played 'em but I would absolutely play I, II, if... and all the titles in the franchise that I haven't/can't play.

My favorite game ever is SMT II. It has an amazing story with good dungeons and unrivaled atmosphere.
Unfortunately it's soundtrack isn't as good as SMT I's, which is another one of my favorite games in the series.
Favorite demon is Satan, and you'll probably find out why if you play SMT II.
I can't think of a favorite character, but they would probably be one of the alignment reps of Nocturne.

Just getting into this series. Digital Devil Story is a much cooler title. Having difficulty beating this. Put all of my stat points into strength on both characters because seriously who cares about that shit, it'll be maxed out at some point anyway. Or at least they better let me max it out.

The only Devil Summoner I've played was Soul Hackers (3DS port) so I wouldn't mind if Atlus ported the Raidou games on new systems.
As for new games featuring with Kaneko's deisgns: they will come out eventually.

I'd certainly recommend you to give the Raidou games a try if you don't mind emulating. As for Kaneko, I highly doubt it, he seems to have taken a less hands-on position higher in the company. The series are now firmly in the hands of his protege Doi and Soejima and younger staffs. Even Katsura Hashino might no longer be involved in Persona and is working on his own project.

It looks like the Persona 3 remake and a new Persona 5 spin-off will be officially revealed tomorrow at the Xbox showcase.
Also, one insider is claiming that Persona 6 will launch before 2026.
Why remake persona 3 when you should remake 1 and 2? 1 and 2 aren’t that accessible to anyone who wasn’t around during the PS1 era: 1 hasn’t aged well and 2 has the worst gameplay in the series: if any, they should remake those games not 3!!!

Because remaking 3 is easier and less expensive than rebuilding, almost rebooting in a sense, the first two entries and it also works better as a filler release.
1 and 2 will surely be remade at some point in the future, though.
i just finished sonic adventure 2 and god that game is so overrated. when people say they like SA2 they like the sonic and shadow stages and nothing else.
