In your country, do you... (19)

I was watching a j-drama the other day; one of the characters has a cough and a runny nose, and so he wears a face mask in public. Was just wondering if this is also a common practice in your country.

Another thing I'm wondering about: in your country, do the majority of the women shave their legs?

What about you guys? What foreign practices are you wondering about?

Here in the USA a girl will be made fun of if she doesn't shave her legs (and they're showing), and people would think you're retarded if you wear a face mask for any reason. Even if you release an airborn form of AIDS every time you cough, we will laugh at you because that's how foolish and judgemental we are.

The only people in my country that wear face masks are asian tourists who don't get into the lazy routine that the rest of us follow.

I've known a few girls who refuse to shave their legs but that was only because they were femi-nazis

Beeing german, I can assure you they do shave their legs. They sometimes don't shave their alar hair (that the correct expression?) though.

I think shaving legs is in many countries popular.
Just by looking at the TV, billboards etc. you see models and good looking woman with a perfect smooth bodies.
I thnk because of this we all starting to think that hairy legs are bad.
the media really has influence on how we think about stuff... atleast thats my opinion.

Us Australians shave legs. Sometimes men do too, they are usually cyclists. We don't, however, ride kangaroos to work, but if I did I would definitely shave its legs.
