Why is everything funnier before you go to sleep? (21)

I don't know if it's like this for everybody, but for me, anything on TV is god damn hilarious before I go to sleep. Kids shows make me laugh for how weird the concepts are (Boobah being a good examlpe), and other shows that try to be funny, but aren't, are suddenly hilarious (Teen Nick shows, Disney shows), infomercials are also funny...

I watched all the GI Joe vids at around 4am. They were never funnier than they were at that time.

you tend to think less about things the longer you're awake. you're generally more creative late at night and in the early morning because your lack of sleep allows you to think a bit more freely with less subconscious rejection of thoughts

I have absolutely no idea, I stayed up all night with some friends a couple of days ago and the variations we made up of the song "Yeah, Toast" were hilarious.

At 6am we went and wrote "lost the game" in huge letters on a nearby beach.

This phenomenon is also common in 2 channel. It's called 誤爆[gobaku = bombing accident].
