The only problem with this place is that after I read through most of the post, I will have to wait a year or more to read the same amount. If only this place had more users.
I believe that if this place constantly stayed on the path of normal discussion (minus boards like DQN), then new people like myself will come and enjoy the sublime environment. I do rather like this place, actual normal discussion on an anonymous message board AKA the people who don't use anonymity to spam without having any damage done to their name.
Yes, I agree with you, 4-ch is relaxing, but maybe a bit too much. However, what you're saying is the same as everyone else is saying; we need more posting to make the boards better. The only thing we can do is to write more, which is what I've been doing lately. Good luck!
