I'm Moving to Savannah, GA... (7)

And I'm really pretty scared about it... It's my first time away from home - I got accepted into SCAD - and I was just wondering what is Savannah like?

Is there anything I should especially know about the city?

Good places to eat? Bad Places to be? Local Hangouts?

I don't really want to be all "LOL TOURIST! :'D" Because I am moving there - even though it's just for school and whatnot - I still don't want to seem like I'm THAT new.

So yes, I'd appreciate any hints and tips you can give me on the area. Fashionable clothes, weather~~~ whatever really.

Thanks!

Memorize the locations of local water holes, watch out for lions and remember that the meat on a giraffe doesn't justify the effort of chasing them.

Good tips.
I'll write those down.

Savannah's a nice place, I'm sure you'll be fine.

It's hot and humid GA weather so a nice pair of shorts and a comfy shirt will server you just fine.

Relax! It's by the ocean!

Savannah is a nice city. Lots of mossy trees that hang over the streets, a short distance from the beach, and interesting places to visit.

wow you should see this as an opportunity. first off, you should find a friend that you can relate to, then you can learn the ropes from there. Good luck ^^

Coincidentally I read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil over the weekend. It's about high society and scandal in Savannah and it was a pretty enjoyable book. Surprisingly the book is nonfiction.
