I found 4ch through Wiki while looking up Densha Otoko. There is where I learned of 2ch, which in the end led me to finding 4ch.

I found it on wikipedia of all places. I prefer 4-ch over 4chan, but my favorite is still 7chan.

I found 4-ch from iichan, which I found because it has the Overchan, which I found accidentally when 4chan was down and I was kind of new to the scene and googled for 4chan esque boards.
They haven't had those esque boards since they did away with Snacks.
/esque1/ was one of my favorites, /esque99/ not so much.

Let's see. I'm nineteen and graduated 2 years ago this June.
In my freshman year a friend who was into anime told me about wakachan, and it even worked at school. I was into hentai at the time so i chekced it oout. Not anymore, same with anime in general. Normally I check out 4chan, but honestly the only reason I go there is for funy pictures, and some laughs. I'm pretty much considering to stop going there =\ This site seems cool, just minus the lack of pics XD

Agreed. The World4ch board for ASCII art is OK, but it's encoded in UTF-8 which is a sacrilege! Also, kinda slow.

I found 4-ch when I was reading up on the history of BBSs in the west, and followed a link to tanasinn.info. The wiki instantly intrigued me and lead to finding this site, which I use daily.

I think I was on /vip/ or /img/ and I heard someone mention that iichan was still around or back up. 4-ch boards were in the sidebar for iichan.net. I ended up clicking on them and here I am.
I forget exactly how I found 4-ch, because it was in 2006. I was researching 2ch, but beyond that I'm not sure.

I found 4-ch when looking for a replacement for 4chan because it fucking sucks.
I liked DQN ELECTRONICS tracks I found on sovietrussia's (RIP x)'s /m/ but it wasn't till a little later googling the Yoshinoya rant that I realised that DQN was a sort of web sight. I look at it maybe 10 times a day.
