oh hi i just thought i would say that 4-ch is a whole lot better than 4chan.

"so i herd u liek mudkipz" can be funny and all, but most of the crap there is lame. people are gross and pedo, too...

anyway, this place is pretty cool and i will probably stay, kthxbai :)

yeah it's pretty cool here, enjoy your stay^^

It's a different culture here. The lack of oooooh pretty pictures helps keep a lot of immature prats out. Not that we aren't also immature prats, but we're typically a bit more subtle about it.

I come here for chat, i go to 4chan for troll. Simple as, really.

If 4chan got rid of /b/, I'd like the sites equally. In my opinion, /b/ used to be funny. Now it's just stupid shit. :( I still browse the other boards on 4chan, like /a/ and /co/, but for any type of actual discussion, I usually come here. :D

Stay, and bring a friend! :D

The cancer did not react to the Chemo and in the end, we lost control of /b/. It was fun while it lasted, heck, I might even go so far as we had a real feeling of community at one point but the cancer was insatiable. It ate, night and day, it ate. In the end, there was nothing left but to feed the trolls. I will look back on /b/ with fond memories. Maybe one day, /b/ will rouse itself from its deep slumber and become the INTERNET HATE MACHINE once more.

Until then, I HERD YOU LIEK MUDKIPS!

:3 ^_^

To cut the shit, yeah, this place is much better than 4chan for conversation that rises above the level of tits or gtfo.

I hope to stay around a while.

Netiquette is visible and honored in 4ch

Everyone is pedo. You are pedo, I am pedo. You wouldn't have come here, if you weren't pedo.

4chan is better. No one posts here for one.

>>16
Fact. Not enough people post here for 4-ch to matter.

18 Name: Anonymous : 2009-06-16 03:41 ID:Heaven

Fact: We have more well thought out posts than the endless retard stream 4chan does.

I would disagree. If you ignore /b/, which you should since the reason for its existance is to be a cesspool for retards, the conversations on both 4-ch and 4chan have the same amount of retardedness. Only 4chan is much bigger and not staring contemplatively at its deathbed.

How do you measure retardedness? I prefer 4-ch because it's slow-paced and text-only. There's less bots and less trolls, as well as a better administration.

As for /b/, /b/ used to be fun before it got so much known. Now /b/ is used to promote films, music, advertise, and several other crap people with an agenda will do. Do you think advertisers and others haven't realized the possibilities /b/ offers? I would say 4chans /b/ is already dead. The rest of the boards might soon follow, if they ever become more popular. I wouldn't know either way because I do not visit them, least to say about monitoring their traffic.

4-ch has less room for this crap, for now. I always move from community to community when I find that the current community I'm in became too popular -- popularity brings a lot of crap with it.

You just cannot compare 4-ch and 4chan without visting 4chan's imageboards other than /b/.

And I measure retardedness by the quality of posts I read. They were pretty much the same. And okay great, go on liking 4-ch because it is slow and text-only but that doesn't make it anything close to better than 4chan.

> You just cannot compare 4-ch and 4chan without visting 4chan's imageboards other than /b/.

I used to post to a lot of boards, /a/, /ck/, /ic/, /b/, /x/, /po/, et cetara. What I meant is that I haven't browsed them in a while.

> And I measure retardedness by the quality of posts I read.

That's your problem, you don't consider the size of the sample. For instance, if you find 10 good replies in 100 replies on 4chan, you have 1/10 success. If you find 5 out of 10 here to be good replies, then you got only 5 good replies, but the ratio is still bigger than 4chans. I believe this is true to an extend for all of 4chan compared to 4-ch.

I don't like 4-ch because it's slow-paced, or text-only, even though these do contribute to overall likeness, but mainly because it is not a target for viral advertising, which you neglected to mention in your response.

I'd have to agree. 4-ch does attract its fair share of noobs who think they're all knowledgeable and shit. A draw-back of being such a slow, small community is that their voices are heard much more, and everyone is too lazy put them in their place.

Despite the anonymity of 4-ch, 4-ch almost feels like a forum to me. Keep in mind I've never been a member of a large forum before so I dunno if thats really a correct way to put it. There seems to be less trolls on 4-ch than 4chan.

I wasn't part of old /b/, but as long as I've known of 4chan's existence, in my opinion, its always been a cesspool, more so in recent times. 4chan might be better if it weren't for the fact that the /b/tards don't stay in /b/. They're spilling over and ruining the rest of the boards now.
