I like it that way, >>4

Got places that are essentially glorified chatrooms with a somewhat weird interface like 4chan, places with smaller communities that still have somewhat of a culture, like 420chan or 7chan, places that have higher quality posts but few of them such as 99chan, 78chan etc., places that are like this that have little posts but a culture heavily prohibitive and confusing to outsiders. The last one is like a balloon that when penetrated sort of falls apart in the event of a getting a much bigger userbase, but there are tons of them out there just like this website.

Understanding the explicit differences of these types of websites isn't immediate, and I think that's kinda what allows most of the types of forums I listed to even exist and thus maintain something of value for the small community of users. It's not something that you can just throw yourself into overnight, and if it was it wouldn't be the way it is. A teenager who's just got his first computer can't dive into this right away. It takes a know-how of how things operate, and no one who enjoys obscurities like BBS and textboards was just handed a list of links and immersed into the flow of things immediately. They gradually discovered by chance that these places exist, and that's what makes them high quality. They retain their userbase and are allowed to incubate so long as nobody would care to share these places on a lot of the more mainstay sites of this caliber such as 4chan, 8chan, etc.
