Like this. 24 gears, disc brake on the front for good stopping power, rim brake on the back so I can lock up the back wheel and do a skid or 5. I ripped off all the stickers so that nobody knows I picked it up from Target on special and proceeded to spend money on it for other things. The front rim is different to the back because I buckled it taking a jump a bit too fast and out of control.

So , what do you ride?

Right now, whatever anyone will lend me. I plan to get a bike of my own again. I used to always be on a bike as a kid, and I discovered recently that it's still as fun now, as it was then.

I would like to get a bike again. I do some cardio work as part of my exercise program, but treadmills and elliptical machines get kinda boring after a while...

My first (and favourite) bike came from a garage sale. This is something my mom paid for a week after she finally saw the scar on my leg from when a pickup truck tried to scare me off the road.

I got a 1970 Raleigh road bike. 3 gear. It rocks harder than a boulder.

Before that I was using a free bike that I took from a friends. Old Free Spirit with no brakes and striped pedals. It didn't have a seat at first either so I took the seat from my bike that got hit by a car.

I often sing QUEEN's song when I ride.

I ride a Trek 1000. Helluva nice road bike - carbon fork, 7 (up to 9) gear cassette, triple on the front, nice racing saddle. It's my daily commuter to/from campus and work. Great for long distance touring as well.

My only gripe: the cassette that comes with it is geared rather high, forcing either a lot of unnecessary time out-of-saddle even on flats, or shifting down on the front (pain in the ass).

Still, great bike. $650. Threw some Armadillos on it and it's a kickass ride.

I also ripped all the stickers off my bike, but that was just because it was such a cool matte-black colour that I wanted a STEALTH BIKE.

Ninjas covert my bike.

2004 Giant XTC 3, put flats and a riser on mine though, lovely bike! I've hardly been out on it at all over the winter, but now that spring's on the way I'm looking forward to hitting the trails a couple of times a week again.

I also love to skid and fishtail when locking the rear tire. the rear wheel has no treads anymore...

I ride a very average Carrera mountain bike (that's the bad Carrera, not the good Carrera). When the weather's nice, I commute to university on it, but I don't do any trail riding any more so I'd like to change to a road bike

One day I want to build something like this sexy bastard: http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2006/feb/NicholasFranzen.htm

My good old mountain bike was stolen. From the backyard. Bastards!
Now I ride a cheap, old road bike. Good enough to get to campus, bad enough that stealing it wouldn't be a good idea. Some idiot tried it anyway when I left it at the station, but the chain was too much for him. Ripped off the front lamp though, and that when it gets dark so early.
Bike thieves should be hanged!

No pedals for me I Ride a Suzuki RM 250, RMZ 450, and a
GRX 1000. Almost the same things as a bike just that its got an engine. I live out in the Phoenix area so when I finnish my
classes at the best University, ASU (Hell YEAH! GO SUN DEVILS) I Jump on my GRX 1000, hit the Free Way like a bat outta hell, throw my bike into the GArage, jump on RM 250, and ride like there's no tomorrow. Dirt Bikes are so much better than obsolete bicycles. And depending if you ride one like an old lady or like the best free stylest TRAVIS PASTRANA you can get one kick ass work out. Check out some of my clips at Unfoundindustries.com
The site should be up in running. If not, whatever, it'll be back up later on. Its not like I'm forcing anyone to go to the site.

I've got a cheap mountain bike, it's been in the rain more than once too. Reminds me, I've got to re-oil the chain sometime soon. It's not much but it gets me around my campus with the occasional unwanted side effect of falling off or hitting someone. I broke a couple of my toes the last time...

24 Name: Notch : 2006-10-30 00:27 ID:DOkSVhEn

I have a Lightspeed cyclocross (Apalachin), a Voodo Wanga, A Clark Kent F4, A 56 or 57 Hiawatha mens model, a 55 or 56 hiawatha womens model, A 62 or 63 Columbia tandem, A Schwinn predator BMX with Mag hydralic brakes up front, an old Raleigh road bike and a few unknown touring bikes from the early 70s. ANY bike is a great bike as long as you ride it!!!

CARS SUCK!!!!

BTW comparing a "workout" on a motor bike to a workout on a MTB or road bike is just plain silly. I ride Motorcycles too, Ducati 750 and a Moto Guzzi T. Nothin like that kind of speed! But I like to keep the petrol burners out of the woods! I'll check out your site! Keep the rubber down!
