Can anyone recommend any decent indie/rock music in Spanish? I'm not really a great fan of the standard 'latin' type music; music in European spanish would also be great.

Café Tacuba is pretty popular, people call them the "spanish Radiohead" (though that's probably a bit overblown)

I'd reccomend randomly browsing last.fm via tags. Starting with this:

I encountered some fellow on slsk who was the singer of a band called Doctor Martin Clavo. They're from Spain and they play garage-punk. Quite good, too. I don't know how to get ahold of any albums, 'cause I can't read Spanish, but there are a bunch of videos of them on youtube.

I haven't heard much Café Tacuba myself, but I know quite a few people that love them. If you're looking for some good stuff, El Cuarteto de Nos is a pretty good Uruguayan band. And, year, Last.fm is one of the best ways to find stuff.

And I nearly forgot Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, but they have more of a ska-type sound.

Rata Blanca and Mago de OZ are good options too.
