Yeah, it is ridiculous. But if all you want is some hugging and cuddling, then you might as well go. Maybe they could set you up so that you only cuddle with one person instead of being in a big group or something. It'd be sort of like having a hooker, without all the sex. Heck, you could probably hire someone to do just that.
I mean, if you want an actual meaningful relationship to go along with it, then you're stuck with the painful choice of having to go out and meet other people, but from the sound of this thread it sounds like you're all just wishing for warm bodies to keep you from being lonely at night.

well mebbe its not exactly that, but the feeling of wanting to be able to hold someone you care about who also happens to care about you the same way, in, a relationshippy type of way, is wat we want sometimes, thats all. and we just dont have anyone like that sometimes, thats all. its not just, a warm body, it means something. if it didnt, a heated blanket could do that job FOR us......
Fair enough. There's a singles rant thread for whini-- err, talking, about not being in a relationship, but I suppose if you're talking about a specific aspect of it then this thread isn't totally unwarranted. I've met people who really are just attention-starved though, and let me tell you, it isn't pretty. I kinda feel sorry for them (which is why I posted in this thread in the first place) because they were probably neglected as kids, but still... shudder
