Help me Internet, you're my only hope (12)

So here's the situation, Internet. I'm a male university student taking a summer field course at a scientific research facility in a small town many hundreds of miles and several state lines from home. Also on this trip is a girl from another university whom I've been spending a lot of time with, both when doing our course work and in our free time. We met and started hanging out together by chance, just thanks to the two of us traveling here on the same bus, but as it turned out we actually have a lot in common and get along really well.

This girl is made of eleven kinds of cute and hot and I want her so bad it HURTS.

And I have a pretty strong hunch from her body language when we're together that she wants me too (playing with her hair, crossing her legs towards me all the time, touching leg-to-leg under the table when we sit next to each other, etc.)

The only problem is... she's taken. I only know that she is because I overheard a bit of conversation between two other girls in which her boyfriend was mentioned, and I don't know whether or not she knows that I know (are you following me here?). If she does know, it certainly hasn't stopped her from continuing to nonverbally flirt with me at almost every opportunity.

Now here's the clincher: The other day we (meaning her, me, and a bunch of other people in the course) were playing a drinking game in which she mentioned two things (both in a hypothetical context, as part of the game): One was "pretending to enjoy lousy sex to avoid hurting your partner's feelings", and the other was "cheating on your SO while on a trip".

Needless to say, this has just sent my speculations and fantasies running to the redline. Note that although we were playing a drinking game, she said both of these things before having had ANY drinks.

So, Internet... should I go for it? I'm an averagely devious person on the whole, but I've never (knowingly) done anything like what my body and my heart are telling me to do now. Pros? Cons? ....tips?

Granted, she said these things before she had any alcohol in her, but the question arises...if you went with ANY of the "hypothetical" situations that were presented, would you feel good about yourself? And secondly, like you said, you want to be with this girl it HURTS...but if you be with her in the way that is implied, I think you're in for a world of pain...one-sided pain...that one-sde being YOU.

Think about it...

Ask her if she's going out with anyone. The answer is almost a given, but ask. If she is, then the choice, as always, is in your hands. If you want to be used as cheating material, best to you.

Well she is a tease. She wants you, but probably only as a toy. So you have a good chance of fucking her, but trying to get a relationship out of it would be a waste of time and effort. I wouldn't because she has a boyfriend, and thats just mean to the boyfriend.

also, if she has a boyfriend and is willing to cheat on him, what makes you think she won't do the same to you? I mean if it's just for the sex then by all means, stick it in her pooper- but if you're looking for a more serious relationship...my personal opinion is she probably isn't the one for you.

and also, if you choose to pursue her, >>2 is right on the money. BA BA BA BA BA BABOMB!

Hit that shit for the whole summer, then terminate it. Watch out for AIDS, though.

In the end, nothing happened. Sorry to disappoint you ;) The thing is, we were really starting to become friends, and I decided I didn't want to spoil that by making any rash moves. Thanks for the advice everyone, including >>7. Once I saw it written, I realized that "Hit that shit... then terminate it" was absolutely the last thing I wanted.

I had been in a situation of me being really good friends with someone and then asked them out.. they said no, but we are still great friends and maybe have another chance because we are getting to know each other a lot more. It is always a good idea to ask now, better than later, because if you ask later, you could lose that person to someone else and you would really not want that to happen.
