I feel sick all the time (16)

So I have a best friend, one I've met over the net, and never met in real life. That aside, she's still my closest female friend. I at one point was interested in another girl, but I felt like I was justing looking at the similarities in her to my friend. Interests, sense of humor, etc.
She's older than me by five years, and so far away it's truly unlikely I'd ever get to see her. I also fear if I ever told her how I feel about her, it would disrupt our friendship so much, it wouldn't recover.

I can't push myself to find someone else, because I'll just be comparing them to her. I really can't do anything, and that is why I feel sick all the time. Forgive my Emo-ness, I just had to tell it to someone.

Feel free to comment, give advice, or just vent at me

I had similar situation with a girl I met online, from when I was 12 up until I was 16. I never gave her any kind of hints besides harmless flirting, then one day she sent me this long e-mail and towards the end she said she liked me from the start, but said that over time that feeling went away because she never saw me in real life and because I never made any moves

Of course I regretted it, but I got over it. My point is, just go for it. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. It won't disrupt anything.

the problem I have is the big age gap, and the long distance. If I were to share my feelings, and she wasnt interested, I'd always feel akward for spilling my guts. If she were to accept me, there's still no way for us to be together.

But when you do confess to her, it would be online? I think it wouldn't be THAT awkward...

You'd be surprised what kinda shit a "j/k" or an "lol" would cover up

you're right, except it would be too different from the way I usually talk. She'd be bound to notice something

You are over analyzing.

Do it anyways

Think LESS, do MOAR. If you constantly wonder and worry about what "could be", there'll never come out anything.

JUST DO IT (insert Nike logo here)

She is not a perfect person, despite the picture you paint of her in your mind. Obsessing over something that is unobtainable is definitely unhealthy.

When you meet a nice girl in real life you should be available to her and not be like, "Uh, there's this girl online and I feel like I'd be cheating on her, so....."
