I met a girl over an internet dating site. She had her photo uploaded. She looks very cute.
I wrote her an email about myself. She replied that I look interesting and asked for a photo. I sent her my photo and didn't get a reply since.
It happens all the time. I see a cute girl, I contact her and starting to expect something. But when I send my photo, it's over. Almost every girl disappears after I send my photo. And because sometimes I have too much expectations, it deeply disappoints me. :(
What can I do about it? How can I stay calm and not expect too much?
Anyway... internet dating is pretty hard. I only can actually date one girl out of about 30. That's only about 3 percent. :(
But hitting on girls IRL can be much harder. I don't have too much friends and if I meet an interesting girl, it always turns out that she already has a boyfriend...
I'm so depressed recently because of this. I even can't focus on my work... instead I write it out of me here...
Man, life is just so unfair!
What can you suggest in a situation like this?
I suggest you don't go over the internet for dating. If you wanna find love, try and find a pen pal online. It's a great way to meet people and getting to know them is what they're there for. Who knows, you might actually find someone.

Bah, keep on trying, both IRL and internet dating, like that one on the commercial. I believe there is true love for everyone out there, no matter what you are, who you look like, what you do and yes, some girls are picky but not all! Do you see a girl and send her an e-mail with a reply saying, "Send me your pic?". Maybe that's the problem, you don't get to let them know you well enough to start bonding, try not to rush these relationships, start off slow and if girls do keep dumping you after seeing the pic, try to avoid the pic as much as possbile until you think you've established a good bond, that's what I think.

too true. when a guy says "send me your pic" upon two minutes of meeting, it generally gives off a vain impression to the girly.
