She said NO. What to do now? (27)

Finally found the courage to ask her. It took me a whole year, but last week I asked her. I know her because she works at the Post Office. The past week I saw her on the street and stopped her. During this year she had allways been very kind with me and somehow I thought that I could date her. I thought that if I asked her, I´d have chances of getting a yes. So I stopped her when I saw her going to her coffee break and asked her. She smiled and said she was usually hurry, so...no. I kept trying and told her that it could be after work but she just kept smiling, started walking away and said no. I suppose she may have a boyfriend.
Now I need to go to the Post Office soon but I don´t know exactly how to act. I´m thinking about using other office, or going to her office and act like if nothing had happened or keep trying. I don´t know. What do you suggest?

Why are you going to the Post Office? Just to speak with her? I would think it would be too forward of you to do this and additionally, you would be intruding her space in general. I think you should really think about it.

Sometimes signals can get misinterpreted. (That may have been an understatement.) Perhaps at the time you asked her, she was indeed in a hurry and didn't want to think about it then. Saying 'no' is a lot easier than saying 'yes' particularly in this kind of situation. If she did say 'no' and indeed meant 'no,' then that means you should probably not pursue any more, whatever the reason may be. She might have a boyfriend or she might not want to be in a relationship right now. In either case, you don't have a chance right now. If you continue to bother her, then your chances of getting with her in the future will go down as well. If you really must go speak with her, you can make some small talk with her (every once in a while) just so she knows you exist.

I use to receive and send packages very often. I´ll receive another soon and will have to go to the Post Office to collect it. I don´t want to bother her. I don´t want her to think I´m a maniac or someone desperate or wathever, that way I would lost her forever. Acting as if nothing happened would be right but, I think it´s difficult now, it´s embarrasing and... strange now.

You should never have asked her out in the first place if youre going to get this embarrased afterwards.

If you say that do you seriously expect him to EVER ask anyone out?

Don't worry too much about it, don't pretend you don't notice her or something like that. Just go for your package, and if you do see her, say hi but try giving her a good face, it's better if she sees you happy than sad or embarrased.

Her answer seems somewhat abrupt, are you telling us everything? You haven't been doing anything to give off the crazy/stalker vibes have you?

Well, either way it's quite pointless now. She said no twice and did not even hesitate for a second it seems. She was even walking away while she said it, seems pretty obvious that she's definitely not interested in you, nor would she ever.

I say you should just give up on this one, try any harder and you risk being labeled a maniac or something.

No! Asking out of the blue, just because you see this person often is not a good idea. It's creepy for most women, especially if the man has not reached a comfort zone with her. You need to greet, you need to touch the side of her shoulder, you need to get her name, you need to make a few remarks that makes her go "oh" or "haha". Just asking out of the blue seems to be too primal, and based merely on pheromones or physical beauty. Complimenting is part of finding something besides just physical appearance. It shows you find an aspect of her sexy, or interesting. Making the girl feel comfortable is the first step to asking her out. If she seems to act tough to get, the next step is to make her feel uncomfortable. Maybe you remark you are ignoring this person, or very subtly remark something you dislike about her. (This is again, consistent with "asshole gets girls" conjecture.) Then you make her feel comfortable again. Eventually you tell her your intentions and your interest, and ask her out.
On the other hand, some people just click and you can ask this person out as soon as you meet him/her. I've had it happen to me once. Love at first sight is amazing.

Print out and memorise:

You: Hi there.
Her: Hi. awkward silence.
You: Say, I've been posting letters here for a while, and I was thinking...I would really like to take this relationship further.
Her: Uh..I already said no.
You: Today is opposite day. It must be. No girls have refused me so blatantly before. It makes me want you all the more.
Her: Blush.
You: I will never stop asking until you say yes. Here, I have something for you. Take out letter.
Her: A..love letter?
You: Yes, a love letter.
Her: Swoons from your old fashion courting.
You: I want you to deliver it to this special person. Turn over letter so that her name is showing. Seal it and stamp it for me please.
Her: Licks envelop slowly and provocatively. I'll make sure she gets it. Does it by any chance, have a return address?
You: I won't let you send it back. Please don't dent my pride.
Her: I mean, so that I..she..can return the love back to the sender.
You: Oh sure. In that case the address is: 1 In Your Pants, YOUR HOME, 53X1.
Winkwink
Her: Giggles. Take me to the address after my shift. BlushBlush.
You: Indeed.

Then put on your black shades in one suave move, make a 180 and head for the door. This went exactly according to plan as you knew it would.
Just before the exit, while walking, look back to wink and point at her, I've got you covered, babe. Its the grand exit.

walk head first into that glass door some dimwit customer opened.

Use the same post office and smile at her every time you see her.

It'll give the impression that you still haven't given up and haven't been put down by her rejection.

In theory, anyway.
