Just go somewhere where you can both have a sit and enjoy a nice talk. Coffees, restaurants, a not-so-crowded park even.
The Japanese joint sounds like a nice idea, if you're afraid she'll get the idea you're buying her, you can always have lunch with her, but the trendy joint seems to do it, it's not too shabby nor too special to give that impression. Informal places are the key here.
