I've never gone out with a girl so I wouldn't know from experience. But the reason for that is not that I'm a lonely loser guy, but in fact I'm a loser girl!
But what I would find good if I was meeting with a guy, is talk about something interesting, not did you see the <insert sports team> game last night (it's probably ok to do this though if the girl is wearing something with the team logo!), no thinking about the easiest way to have sex with me (annoying), and asking to start a farting contest is not okay either. I appreciate humor and honesty as well. Don't pretend you are or do something that isn't true and don't be a sourpuss.

I really wouldn't know. By that I mean be in touch with yourself and use your fukken creativity. Today I was out with two online friends and two real life friends, in the same day. I am someone who barely leaves his house, is only good with talking to people over the net and has a background of handling life in a dodgy manner. I'm also a virgin. Still we managed to have one of the coolest days I've had in a year, eh, depending on where you're at, whether or not both of you know it, hobbies (FUCK SPORTS LOLOLO), smalltalk .... well, I'm bad at smalltalk. hmmm well I'm not a guy and never will be, but personally I find it easier to talk to men when they ask about my hobbies and interests. I usually don't follow current events, so I have no idea what to talk about when asked.
I'd say just try and find some common ground, and work your way up.
