Internet SWEETHEART (9)

Dear /love/,

I've had barely any expeditions in love because I'm a rather shy guy. I've never really had a crush on a girl up until now. This girl I met on the internet is, I'm sure, the girl meant for me. I haven't seen a picture of her face, but her personality is what gets to me. There's a few problems though. I'll list them.

1) She lives about a thousand kilometers away from me.
2) She's in another country.
3) She hasn't expressed any feelings back to me.
4) She's 14; I'm 18. I could wait until I'm 22 and she's 18 if this can truly last.

Should I continue to pursue what I think to be my true love despite the age gap among other things? She doesn't seem to mind that I like her, and I've told her of my undying love. She is into anime and we share a lot in common. She's also quite a pervert, which could or could not be a plus. Nonetheless, I don't know if reciprocation exists or not.

If I should even bother, how should I approach this?

No offence, but HAHAHAHAHAAAAA
True love my ass. Befriend her, do not pursue her. If you two are bent towards each other in three years, then you can think of pursuing this. I'm not saying this as much due the age difference, as your desperate jump to declare your undying love for her.
It's irrelevant whether or not she is mature enough to have a relationship, YOU sir clearly are not.

I agree.

It's the internet. One day online is like equivalent to a week. While real life friends may take several months to grow apart, it can take as little as a few days of no contact before you two are strangers again. Seriously, in a few months you would be moving on.

I bet that girl is Asian.

If yes, I pity your situation. So hopeless.

hey...nothing wrong with asian chicks. although yeh..they play you more than white girls.

i think the key sentences are:

> I haven't seen a picture of her face.
> She's in another country.

so basically..you don't know who she/he/it is.

u havent seen a pic of her face, right? u may have different problems after seeing it. ill list them

1) he lives next door
2) he's a guy
3) he has always expressed feelings to me.
4) he's 44; I'm 18. I could wait until I'm 22 and he's 48 if this can truly last.

Should I continue to pursue what I dont think to be my true love despite the age gap among other things? he doesn't seem to mind that I dont love him, and he's told me of his undying love. he is into anime and we share a lot in common. he's also quite a pervert, which can not be a plus. Nonetheless, I don't know if reciprocation exists or not.

but my personality is what gets to him

If she's 14, I doubt she's at a level of maturity needed for a "real" relationship.

OP, is this girl, by any chance, from East Asia?

If yes, you poor son of a bitch. (However, the answer doesn't matter anyway :P)

If you really think that you get love through the internet WITH 4 year age difference (14 and 18, oh baby!), then you are in for a serious dissapointment AND/OR jailtime.

Sorry, man, but did you really think this is going to happen? :P
