Hi all,
I'm in love with a girl that live so far away, we met in internet 7 months ago and have been talking each day, she loves me, i love her, but the distance is so much, I live in Europe and she in South America.

Also I'm a coward, she has told to her family, i have talked with her parents by cam, but I haven't told to my family, I have so much fear of my family.

We planned that I would go to visit her in June but I need so postpone the travel because I need to do somethings here, and now I don't know how to tell to my family.

I don't know what to do, some advice?

Is it really important the reason why you need to postpone the trip? how old are you? why would you be afraid of your parents reaction?

The reason is that I have to do university papers. I'm 22 years old. And I'm afraid because my parents are overprotective, so much.

I think your relationship with this girl is at a stage that it still might not work out. So I don't think you have the obligation to your parents just yet.

I say go for the trip. Just tell your parents its a holiday. Heaps of college students go away for holidays and such. When you do meet her and things work out really well, then... tell your parents.

Otherwise if you tell your parents 'im going to meet this girl i met on the internet', they definitely won't approve.

I forgo to add:

So once you actually have some sort of 'material'. Like you have actually met her, dated her, held her hand, kissed her ... then I think your parents will be more accepting.

The problem is that I need to justify the travel in some way, I had think to say that is to see a friend, but probably will not work, so...

You definitely have to do what you feel is right, and do it fast.

back in 2004, I had the daughter of a family friend come to the US and stay with my family. She was a year younger than me. I was in university then, but my school was only about 40 minutes away so after classes I would come home and show her around my town. Next thing I know, I fell for her.

She went back to her home country and we kept in touch over the internet. I wanted to go and visit but I couldn't because I had finished with school. There wasn't anything concrete between us. I figured when I went to her country to visit her, then I could tell her my feelings in person.

Time went by and I was getting closer and closer to graduation. Meanwhile, she was living her own life. Last September was my last semester. I booked a plane ticket and had all these plans about how I would surprise her and confess my feelings that I've had over the years. Shortly after, I got news that she was getting married.

All this time I thought I would make it in time. I thought everything would work out like it did in my head. Right when I was ready to take the final step, it was too late.

I'm sorry for the long post, but I kinda know what you are going through. Do what you feel is right. Don't wait too long or else you'll regret doing nothing.

You'll live. If this broke up this easily, then it really wasn't worth it.
You need to get a bit of a backbone though.
