Oh god she's coming over for a move night... (25)

So, she's coming over tomorrow, for a nice little movie night, I'll get some pizza ready, grab some popcorn and something to drink, thats all taken care of. But my biggest problem is, WHAT MOVIE SHALL I WATCH. I've asked around and I got the tip Amelie from montmatre, is that a good flick to put on? I've gotten another tip about some scary film to make her crawl up to me ^_^. But that might be a little cliché. What's your thought on it, 4-ch?

The Battleship Potemkin by Sergei Eisenstein. A wonderful production, and a monument of cinema. She will surely appreciate your great cinematographic culture.

Amelie is an excellent choice, if you ask me.

I don't know of any good movies for a date...I just laugh at the bad ones.
My friends brother watched space balls (NOT A GOOD CHOICE).

JOKE: carve a hole in bottom of bowl for popcorn, stick dick through and hope she catches on.XD

>>4 Hey, I watched Space Balls with a guy...it wasn't a bad choice. It shows me that he's got a sense of humor and is honest enough to show me something he actually likes rather than trying to bullshit me into thinking he is into chick flicks.

So, I think you should watch a comedy with her. I am not sure which to suggest but something sad and depressing isn't such a good choice because that is kind of a mood killer. Or you could simply ask her what film she is interested in seeing.

40-Year Old Virgin. Best date movie ever. Blue Lagoon would be a good backup.

"About a boy" is a nice choice as well, but definitely Amelia is way better.

Romantic comedy is the best choice, unless she is specifically into something like... gore flicks.

Horror flicks on the first date don't work, unless she likes you very much and extremely into you.

I agree. Most girls like a good romance story and it'll make you look good, show your sensitive side.

Also if you want her to hold onto you it is also a good idea... Though it might involve you making the first move. During a teary part I'd suggest either putting your arm around her or holding her hand...

Of course this is all very cliché.. but I think it would be more effective than a horror flick which might give her the wrong impression.

These guy are fags. Don't listen to them. Well, except for the horror movie advice, that's decent advice.
You're thinking entirely too hard about this, in my opinion. If you don't have a totally sweet movie you think she'd like, my advice would be to go to Local Movie Rental Chain with her and choose something neither of you have seen. That way you can actually do some of that 'connecting' shit by talking about it afterwards.

she's not testing you. she really does just not mind what film she watches (of course shes assuming you wont put on a snuff film or anything crazy like that) whenever i ask my girlfriend what she wants to watch its always "i dont mind" and im the same when she asks me unless im really in the mood for a particular genre.

I wouldn't go for action, no would I go for an extremely sappy movie.

Something fun, but not complicated. Don't go for Romance, And don't go for a movie you don't think you'll like very much. Try to find something that interests you, but you'd think would also interests her. A comedy is probably best, But nothing to niche that has references you or very few people would get.

Thats all I can give you.

When you sage please don't post 30 lines each time.
It's annoying.
