OP Here

I hate weeaboos. I don't conisder myself a weeaboo, I'm actually Japanese for real, well almost. I will be when I live in Japan though. Right now I'm studying japanese, japanese history and I'm following Bushido, the way of the warrior. This is why I hate weeaboos that know 5 words in japanese and use them all the time, kawaai baka DESU NE MOTHERFUCKER. I'm actually trying to become Japanese for real unlike all these faker wees. FUCK YOU WEEABOOS
So my question is, how good are my chances of becoming Japanese for real?

4 Name: Kayashu : 2007-06-14 23:22 ID:nwtNABUS

...if you're born in Japan, then you are Japanese. If you're not born, you can never be Japanese. Language is one thing, but being native another. At most, you'll just get citizenship of being in Japan, maybe Japanese wife/husband and half-japanese kids, but that's all. Sorry.

5 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-06-15 02:05 ID:u9buPVJT

(senses a potentially trolling post)

I'm sorry, but realistically, you can't be "Japanese, for real", just by living in Japan, and because you studied Japanese history & language... And the fact that you're trying to follow Bushido tends to signify more of a Weeaboo behavior than anything else, frankly...

There's nothing wrong with those of us who enjoy or emulate Japanese culture, but thinking if you "try hard enough" or "live the lifestyle" that you'll somehow "be" Japanese is exactly what makes for the worst kind of Weeaboo thinking...

Japanese-ness for the sake of Japanese-ness is the source of Weeaboo-ness, and since you've said all these things about learning Japanese & moving to Japan doesn't say that there's much else in your life than emulating Japanese culture...

You need to get more of a purpose besides trying to emulate and assimilate into Japanese daily life, if you wish to be taken as something other than the steriotypical Weeaboo... (The fact that you said you've got "Yellow Fever", and "How to cure the desease" frankly attests to Weeabooism as well)...

haha lol. Only if you were actually Japanese could you think you could become japanese. You either are or you aren't its a state to be in.

Even decendants from Koreans, lineage of perhaps 12 generations, even mixed with Japanese multiple times... they'll be considered not Japanese. If you don't look Japanese, you ain't Japanese.

At any rate, trying to become Japanese is an individualistic thing, whereas japanese culture is all about subjugating the ego to the community or whatever.

Well, that's all very stereotypical, and there are probably tons of Japanese who don't give a shit about what you are. However, if you try to prove to them that you are 'Japanese,' you'll alienate that group too. Give it up. Culture isn't something in which you can be immatriculated.

People can we stop using the word "weeaboo" ?
It doesn't mean anything, it's not even a word it's just a stupid comic strip.
People shit out that word like it means nothing, I've been called weeeaboo all the time and I'm asian!
Wapanese is just as bad.
How about we call them "Asian pop culture fan boys" because that's what they are/

The OP will never be Japanese, and instead of obsessing about it in this life why don't you just focus on other things and then reincarnate as Japanese?

8 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-06-15 11:04 ID:Heaven

The stuff >>4
said is rather true, actually.
Even Japanese descendants that were born and raised outside of Japan are looked weirdly at when they visit the country of their grandparents.

>People can we stop using the word "weeaboo" ?

We could, but we don't want to. It's a piece of internet slang. You know what it means. You most probably are a weeaboo yourself if you're here. Being 'Asian' dos not disqualify you, unless you are Japanese. Weeaboos are not always boys.

OP is a troll. >>3 is mostly copypasta.

I'm here because this place used to be Interesting, and being Asian does disqualify me, that's like calling a black person a wigger.

11 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-06-15 19:16 ID:Pi7ma5R+

>>10

No, being Japanese disqualifies you. If you're Chinese/Korean you can still be a weeaboo.

are you japanese? if the answer is no you are a potential weeaboo.

Nope, I'm Chinese.
I'm not obsessed with Japan, but I like to talk about the culture and everything.

17 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-06-16 06:02 ID:F94rvT5u

So you are asian, so what part of yellow fever are you trying to cure? Do you hate your own culture and don't want to be "yellow" or B) do you have a natural desire to go after asian girls? If it is B, then you are just lusting after your own kind, nothing wrong with it.

I'm not the OP, the OP is probably not Asian.
As for me, I don't have a fetish for any race.

Weeaboo is a comic about some white things getting mad because some guy said "weeaboo" I'm not sure what it actually means.

24 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-06-18 10:04 ID:F5R9ju4M

I don't really have much of a thing for asians.

Well, to tell you the truth, I try to avoid them because I don't want to seem like the type of guy that goes for asians because they are related to anime. Infact, I stay away from anything that might make me seem like the stereotypical weeaboo.

Althought technically, It would be Bleaboo. Since I'm not white.

It was originally a world filter for wapanese on 4chan, but it suddenly was spread. It is supposed to be an insult to people who show extensive interest in Japaneses pop culture, and are doing it wrong.

What's a bleaboo? Black person trying to be asian?

The white things are people, it's just the art style.

The people work at a business where they have a fun game called "Weeaboo".
If someone says "Weeaboo", then everyone lines up to smack that persons butt with a paddle.

They're in a meeting discussing the business, when the speaker brings up that the company will go bankrupt if they don't stop wasting time playing the game.
Since the speaker mentioned the name of the game, they get out the paddle and paddle his butt.

The word "Weeaboo" itself is completely meaningless.
As mentioned previously, on 4chan's /b/, the word "wapanese" was filtered to "weeaboo".

28 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-06-18 21:49 ID:F5R9ju4M

yea, except I'm not trying to be asian. I just like manga and anime, not the whole culture, at most I find it rather interesting.

"Right now I'm studying japanese, japanese history and I'm following Bushido, the way of the warrior. "

"I hate weeaboos. I don't conisder myself a weeaboo"

You want to cure yellow fever, but you want to become "A real Japanese", move to Japan, know its language, and become a samurai.

I'm sensing something that's conflicting here.

P.S. Bushido and Chivalry have no room for todays society, because we're no longer feudal. There's no argument, especially the "I want to be honourable" or "I want to be a good person".

If you want to be a good, honourable person, BE THAT. Don't go around totting you're bushido-following samurai style.

Also, whats wrong with Asian girls? They're mad hot... Sometimes. Cute more than not.
