If you're a hot girl with nice tits, they won't care how far away you are.

Wrong, it'll bother them if they're a "catch" because they'll know the girl has no problem getting any and there's no way to maintain exclusitivity.

Hmm. Half a year. Hard to tell. When you talk to people online long enough, you know them better than people offline know them. You let go of your inhibitions when you're safe behind the monitor as a faceless entity. It happens a lot on messgabe boards where people will be talking to each toher for years and become ebst of friends. Sometimes they even evetually meet up IRL. I guess the only thing I can tell you is to keep talking and stay friends at least. No use in letting a perfectly good friendship go to waste. And maybe as time goes on, your feeling towards each other will develop and you'll know if you should pursue a more intimate relationship.

A lot of people tend to find it easier to open up when they're hiding behind a screen. So you're probably inclined to think you know them better than "offline" people. But it's ironic. If they're hiding behind a screen, then you can't really say that's the "real them".

People can present themselves in what ever way they want to on the internet. Add to the fact that there's a wide range of possibilities of how people can interpret you (because all you see is words). This is why I would advise strongly against online relationships.

wow you guys are really great! that's really true. I really agree with you guys! I'm staying optimistic and i'm really thankful for being friends with him ^0^!!

I also call him every so often. At least a couple times a week. It's kinda nice to talk that way or skype (since its free) but calling is really cool too. Sometimes he calls me too XD; it's nice ~~~

I wonder if it's normal to call online friends...?

I used to do it with someone I was dating online. We stopped dating, but we still remain good friends.

I feel for you though, Except the girl I like lives back in my hometown. I sadly didn't get to know her before I moved over 500 miles away. If I did, I probably wouldn't be in this state now. Ha.

that's really sad :( yeah isn't destiny funny like that??? u move away then u get to know someone who lived close to u... sucks..

but i talked to him again! (KITA) i'm really happy.....

he said to me "i don't know why, but i want to meet you. is that strange?"

haha then he went on to say 'i'm really thankful for you'

it was a really touching moment :)

it's sad, he's so nice >w<; or at least seems nice...

i feel happy and good... it's strange, its not like i can't get a guy here you know =-=;; i just happen to not like the guys here :\... or at my school... why is that that nice guys have to be so far away? It's kinda sad and ironic isn't it?

that sounded REALLY condescending
liek you're the only one here who knows what they're talking about
just letting you know
and you AREN't alone
i was and am still desperately in love with this girl who i can't really reach
i mean DESPERATELY in love
constantly thinking about her and such
i would blow up an orphanage and use the cinders to burn down my own house with me in it if it made her happy

the nice ones aren't always far away
the problem is finding them
i consider myself a nice guy, if only because of my moral standings and how disgusted i am with the typical male mentality
and yet no girls talk to me at all because i'm extremely shy and i get really awkward around them

heh, I don't even give myself the chance to get awkward.

Dunno what to say to you, btw.

I was in the same situtation with having known someone online for 4 years, having a crush on them for the last two.

Eventually I just talked to them less and less until I stopped altogether ...guess you can say I just ran away from it.

I met my ex online. We talked for maybe half a year online before meeting up. I didn't have to worry about her thinking I'm weird because I really am weird. And she was weird too so it actually worked out pretty well, at least for a few years.

But in our case distance wasn't an issue, we were in the same city already.

that's lucky :\...

--

on other new news, he asked me out. I was really surprised that he likes me too. so I accepted, thinking it would be all right, and even if it didn't work out or something we could just break up right? (though saying that sounds so crude and cold...)

do you think this was good or bad?
does anyone have any advice?

do a lot of people have these online relationships? i wonder, i feel alone :\. it's strange isn't it?

A lot of people have online relationships, sweetie. It's becoming rather common, I think. Who knows how things will go for you, though? If you like him and he likes you, then I don't think there's any harm in at least trying. And if it doesn't work out, hopefully you can still be friends. This isn't strange.
