The only way you'll know the answers to many of those questions is by asking her. Of course you can't say, "oh hay whats up anyway so are you just liking me to get ahead?", but still.

There's no real way to tell what's going on without being you, OP. You're going to have to figure this out on your own. I'm leaning more toward pure motives on her part though - as >>47 pointed out, not many people would be gutsy enough to do what she did with the sole reason of career advancement, and even if she did, you might be able to charm her socks off regardless.

Don't shut down your brain, but continue. You are probably overanalyzing, and that will screw you up pretty bad.
