I know as many people who swear by this kind of stuff as I know people who it didn't work for.

There are a lot of training things that are held around the place to teach guys how to pick up properly, as it's something a lot of us don't really learn. If you have the money, do it... but they're a bit expensive (on the other hand, good idea for a business, teaching geeks how to talk to women.)

My own feeling on the matter is that the purpose of the training is just to get a guy through those first dozen rejections which he needs to make the rest irrelevant. But this is also a perfectly valid objective. With a lot of guys, their only problem is this fear of rejection, and getting over that is just a matter of numbers. Well, in theory anyway.
