Hi, /a/. You know those threads that go "What if you wake up as ____" or "What if you encounter ____"? Well, this thread is much like those, only it's more complex and based on a true story. Brace yourself for some serious tl;dr.
Let's imagine for a second that you have a girlfriend. I know, I know. Let's call her "A". She's rather good looking - 5'6", 110 or so lbs (you don't dare ask), blonde hair that goes mid-way down her back, sky-blue eyes, B-cup breasts - and, though she's not as quiet and unsociable as you are, she's very shy. She's what you might describe as a gamer, and she's better at the vidya than you are - she kicks your ass at Halo whenever the two of you play the xbawks. Sound pretty nice so far?
Well, A suppose contracted strep throat on Christmas Day from one of her crazy drunken relatives, and being allergic to penicillin, she's laid up in bed at her parent's house on three different medications. This puts her pretty much off limits for a while, seeing as her father is an overprotective jackass who can hardly speak English and is never seen without a bottle of vodka.
So let's say you got invited to a party on New Year's. Well, not so much a party as a small get-together of friends from high school who are home from the holidays - geeky kids like you. At least one of them is a 4chon - the guy who introduced you to /b/ all those years ago. The host has pretty good taste in alcoholic beverages and it really would be nice to spend New Years Eve away from your faptop, so of course you go. And lo and behold, when you get there you see a girl you haven't seen in a year and a half (let's call her "K"). K's a redhead, 5'2", 100 lbs, short-ish hair, blue-green eyes, and pretty much no chest to speak of. Pretty cute, but you never really thought of her "that way". It's hard to, when you've known a girl since you were 9 years old.
As it turns out, K really can't hold her liquor. Two or three shots into the inevitable drunken poker game, she's blushing and leaning against your shoulder. And that's your last lucid memory of that night - you would go on to lose spectacularly and drink much more than you're used to.
Now, two days later, you find out from your good buddy the host, who ended up driving you home after you passed out (make a mental note to thank him again) that, inebriated, you did "all manner of sordid things" with K. After a good laugh at your expense, the friend explains that all you did was kiss her, grope her, and kiss her some more before she fell asleep on your shoulder.
But now you're at a moral dilemma. What do you do? Have you cheated on your girlfriend A? What can you say to K? Is there a way to resolve this situation without feeling like a horrible person?

Well, my first bit of advice is not to get that drunk when you have a girlfriend. Yeah, alcohol can excuse you of lots of things but if you're in a relationship and you know you get a bit "open" when you drink then you should be a bit careful about how much you drink. You don't have to have every drink during a drinking game; in fact you don't have to take part in a drinking game if you don't want to. If your friends don't take no for an answer then they are being dicks.
As for the question of cheating. Yes, you cheated on your girlfriend. Also, possibly the worst time to do it - she's ill, and its new years eve. NYE has this whole thing about it being super special (even if its not) so its going to make her feel even more shitty that you were out having a good time by kissing another girl. However, it's gonna be a hell of a lot worse if you don't tell her but instead she hears it through the grapevine. So you have the option of not telling her (but only if you are 110% certain it will never reach her) or you have to confess before anybody else tells her. I personally would confess, but I would wait until she was feeling much better and not bed-bound. What can you say to her? Say you've messed up big time by drinking far too much. Don't try to pin it on anybody else ("oh, but we were playing a drinking game and X kept giving me extra shots!!" etc), this was your mistake even if you were so drunk you don't even remember it. I suppose you could tell her that yeah you can't actually remember it, but that's not an escuse in my book.
What can you say to K? Well, I suppose that depends on whether she likes you or was just drunk enough to kiss anybody. Best thing would be to let your friends know that you still like A and not K and that it was just a drunken one-night thing. Hopefully that will get back to K and she won't have got her hopes up about it being the start of anything. To be honest, I doubt she really remembers it either ;)
You ARE a horrible person. Feel like one. You got drunk, so whatever you did is your fault. No one forced liquor down your throat. Stop acting like you're not responsible for what happened. Fess up to your girlfriend and make sure "K" knows what happened as well. Take the consequences and move on.
tell your girlfriend about what happened. if shes cool with it, whatever. if not, you're out a girlfriend. back to fap box.

...yeah. You done fucked up. Best thing to do is to come clean and take all the flak for it. It'll be better than trying to pin the blame on something else or to lie through it.
Amusingly enough, /love/ says to apologize while 4chan (both /a/ and /b/) told me to keep quiet and hope A never finds out.

It's not a matter of which site is a bigger gathering of inexperienced virgins, but which site is a bigger gathering of assholes. 4-chers are generally much nicer people, so of course they're going to tell you to 'fess up. It's the right thing to do, you know. If you want to be an asshole, keep quiet.
Of course, once you confess, you'll have to deal with the consequences, but if you two can get through it, your relationship will be stronger for it. If you can't, then it wasn't meant to be.
4chan is a bunch of assholes who want to cause trouble for people. If you keep your mouth shut, and she DOES find out, you'll be in a hell of a lot more trouble than if you were to come right out and admit you did something wrong.
We at 4-ch are telling you to fess up because we know no matter what course of action you take, you're in trouble. So we're telling you to go with the less risky of the two options.
She'll find out eventually. I'm sure she'd want to hear if you've done something wrong for yourself. Also, if you're telling her, and it's evident you feel bad about it, she's more likely to forgive you than if you just tried to keep quiet and hide it.

I would keep my damn mouth shut. If you tell her you cheated, you're out of there. If not forever, then for a long, long time. Every single bridge you two built will be burned. It doesn't matter if you tell her now or she finds out a year later. You're going to get dropped. It's the same result either way.
All you guys saying to come clean, I don't know what you're thinking. If this girl has a shred of self-esteem, she'll kick him out in a heartbeat. "Oh but maybe if you're honest and she forgives you your relationship will come out stronger." BULLSHIT. Only needy and clingy girls would stick with a guy who cheated. And those kinds of girls aren't worth dating.

so my answer was going by what i'd want if i was HER. i'd want to know.
I'm an inexperienced non-social virgin, and I would probably say you should fess up if you had actually cheated on her.
But all you did was grope and kiss her while drunk, and you can't even remember doing so yourself. Aren't situations like that common nowadays, and thus not really considered cheating? :p
If I were you I would just pretend my friend never told me about it. It's not like you'll see K again anytime soon, that she'll remember, or that she and A will meet, right?
But if you don't tell her and she finds out after a year or however long, it's going to feel much worse for you when she dumps you because you've had much more time to grow close to each other.

I kissed a male friend of mine and stuff a lot reently, I explained to my girlfriend that it was nothing and stuff and she's learning to trust me again. Slowly, but better that than me lieing.
Dude, you don't even know for sure this actually happened. All you have is the word of people who were also drinking, and who are probably b-tards. Why in the world would you confess to something that you don't even know if it really happened? That would make you a chump.
Blow it off, forget about it. If it gets back to your girl (which it probably won't) deny any memory of the event and question the motives of the people spreading it around.
