Well, if you do decide to tell her, try to act bashful about it. Makes you look sensitive, and chicks dig that shit (for the most part, anyway). Plus, it makes you more likable, as opposed to coming off like some meathead. I'm not saying you shouldn't be confident or anything, just make it look like you're cautious about it (which, by the sounds of it, should be natural for you).

OP, just decide what you'll regret more - telling her and getting dumped, or not telling and letting her drift apart.

I chose the first option, she dumped me and my life was pretty much horrible for the last half year, but although I very much regret falling in love and making a huge idiot of myself, I don't regret telling her, I consider it the best thing I could choose.
