What does a guy like in a girl? (24)

Just a discussion =)

I've heard a lot of girls (especially in high school) ask things like this or what breast size is best or whatever. There really is no set "type" for even most individuals. I promise you that smallish (even A) boobs can look really cute on some girls and really plump ones will look really nice on others. Some girls could be maybe 10-20 pounds overweight (well, what they consider overweight) and look really fuckin' soft and beautiful.

The face is probably most important, but each guy likes different things there as well. I never looked for freckles, but one of biggest crushes in high school had them, and I found them to be one of HER better characteristics. This girl whose essay I just peer-reviewed in class yesterday wrote about wanting a gun for protection and somehow that really excited me about her (she was typically pretty otherwise, so it showed that atypical things about her to make her stand out).

But, other than looks, there are some things I def. look for: honesty, sense of humor, willingness to talk about nerdy things (not necessary, but I'd almost always choose an average-looking nerd over a really hot girl I don't have shit in common with), taking music seriously, etc. Just TRY to be pleasant to be around. If it shows that you at least try to be nice and are genuine, that will do so much for you.

I don't care about anything except high intelligence, complete lack of emotional inhibition (regarding me, anyways), and devotion. None of this pop-culture "geek" bullshit (video games? come on). I want a girl that loves deeply and thinks deeper. But finding a girl that lacks superficiality is like finding a guy that lacks the same. Next to impossible.

Intelligence, cuteness, adventurousness, spontaneity, playfulness.

That's it for me.

Not a whore.
Smart enough for a nice chat.
Not obese, I can take over weight or underweight, but if anyone gets to the point of being obese, I view it as a sign of weakness, laziness and lack of will power.

Harsh judgement. Based on what?

On personal opinion and experience.

I don't believe that someone would ever become obese if they had a speck of mental strength, ambition and will power.

As an added bonus, the fact that all obese people I have ever met in my life were ambitionless fools, who constantly bitched about everything and were always too lazy to do anything at all about their problems, kind of helped the development of this personal opinion of mine.

Small girls with a difinitive taste in music and movies (elitists are fine too). Affectionate is plus.

Intelligent, knows when to work and when to play (i.e. not completely serious all the time), can have discussions on any subject, doesn't play emotional games, not afraid to be straightforward and honest, can take initiative, willing to at least try playing video games together, willing to respect my desire not to become sexually active before some sort of long-term commitment (ideally marriage, but I suppose I can be flexible), and not obsessively clingy to the point where I can't even go see friends. Physically, A/B breasts (MAYBE C, although not preferred), glasses are nice but optional, keeps clean, preferably virgin like me or at least very few former partners (and no mysterious tropical diseases), and a healthy weight.
These are just things I look for, there's probably some others but that's what I can think of off the top of my head. Sadly, seems like girls such as this don't exist in my age category (mid-late 20s), oh well.

Well, I'm not a guy but I like girls that are geeky, awkward at times, smart, independent, cute and feminine looking but maybe a tomboyish attitude. Serious but has a good sense of humour. She must read, there is nothing more attractive to me than a girl that reads for pleasure. Mostly calm, not too sentimental, rational, happy and generally caring. Glasses, long dark hair and wearing black stylishly are definite pluses.

Most important is that the girl must wear a lacy light pink shirt on (above) a woven magenta cardigan.

Only I disagree with what you say about superficiality. I don't at all mean to extoll my virtues but I am not superficial in the least and I am sure that there are many girls that have depth of character, and so forth, and so on.

My taste in girls is a lot different to the concept of blonde busty bombshells. I like brunettes, with glasses. Although I love video games and film, I don't need a girl who likes them. At the same time, I am a pessimist but I like cheerful girls to counter my pessimism.

21 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-04-26 01:33 ID:6VUoWvpW

Well, if she likes me, that's a definite plus.

22 Name: Secret Admirer : 2009-04-26 08:29 ID:m6ikK//d

I like cheerful girls, for the same reason as >>20. I'm also a sucker for a pretty face.

In general, I think the number one thing guys want is a girl that isn't fat. Not to be a douche; it's just an observation. It should also be noted that 99% of girls who think they're fat are actually perfect.

It's sort of hard to define what i want exactly but she would be hopefully smarter than me, kind-hearted, mindful, being physically affectionate is great. One thing I really want is someone that is always developing as a person, so we can always be learning about and from one another.

Must like games.
