having trouble loving again (8)

its not that i can't get a date or anything. but more like i don't want to go on a date or start a relationship. its been almost 3 years since i had been in love with someone. i was in a relationship with someone about 3 years back, and i really did love her. i thought she did too. she was really good at convincing me that she did. she was perfect and had everything i could ask for in a girl. it seemed almost too good to be true, and in the end, it was too good to be true. all she wanted was to do was just get in bed with me. and to this day i never really got over her, she is always in my head. during the past 3 years, i did date for 2 years, but none of them did turn out too good. i stopped dating about a year ago because i didn't want to just get in bed with each and every girl i had a fling with, i didn't want to continue hurting more girls. i want to love someone. what can i do to love someone again?

Tell yourself it is over and get over it. It may seem hard but its that simple.

Are you kidding me? That won't work. I'm trying to get over a girl as well. She always appears in my dream (well, at least she looks like her) and I'm struggling to do it too. Only time will make you get over someone you love.

i had tried to tell myself that there is no use in even thinking about her, but it doesn't work. i just can't seem to erase her from my mind. i thought dating other girls would work, but it didn't. like [Demo-man] said, only time will make you get over someone you love. but i'm scared that time is going by without anything happening.

I know the pain, I just got out of a relationship like this a few weeks ago, and I honestly don't know if I want to ever start dating again.

yeah, it just breaks you into pieces. gets you totally messed up for quite a while. but the question is., when will you get over it?

I have been in the dumps; hit rock bottom and didn't think I could deeper until I discovered dynamite blasting.

Yes I know it hurts and there is this huge gaping hole in your heart. But the best way to get over it is to move on. You need to convince yourself that relationship is over and it is time to make a new one. I am not suggesting a rebound girl. But you need to realize there is light in the end of the tunnel and you will find happiness again.

Remember life was fun before you met your girlfriend and it will be afterwards. And the more time you spend moping around wishing what could have been or what you could have fixed or changed, you are letting opportunities slide by.

>>7 is right is not a matter of if you will get over it but when. As long as you keep that mindset you will be set.

It is a lot easier than it seems. Just have to start moving toward the right path.
