So, I was wondering, is it alright to have a thing for Japanese women? I've read a bunch of things that say it's a fetish and white men only like Japanese women because they are perceived to be more submissive. But that isn't it at all for me. I just think that they are really attractive and I like that particular look.

well, probably depends on what you want to do with that Japanese girl... but I wouldn't say that it is something perverted, to me it looks more like that someone has a thing on black hair, blue eyes or asian look, everybody has it's own preferences... and if you're the dominant type, it looks to me pretty natural that you're looking for someone submissive

Don't worry OP, almost every white guy gets a "thing" for asians or a particular flavor of asians.
The best cure is to actually get an Asian girlfriend. That way, you'll realize that they are like every other female on the planet: obnoxious and bitchy.
Really, they're just good at presenting themselves in public. Once they feel they don't have to keep up the act around you, they become VERY different.

I agree with you though. I will pretty much go for any girl. Went for a German once, went for an Indian once, and went for some Italian once. I don't really care as long as she's a good person. Look...I will put it to you like this...I am not joking with you. I'm the Hugh Hefner of Japanese women. I live with 5 japanese girls and I speak both Japanese and English. I'm black and in the entertainment industry. Bottom line...Japanese girls are the most gossipy girls on the planet...even more so than high school white girls. I know this because in College at Michigan State University, our campus was extremely diverse, and I played basketball, and I was with women from all over the globe. Despite my weaboo love of manga and anime, I have never succumbed to yellow fever. All I can say is that your interest purely in Japanese women is probably unrealistic and will have trouble being realized in a relationship. It would be easier if you liked Asian women in general or even members of your own race.

I am a female and Japanese and what I found common among a million of these western guys 'the asian fetish' is that they generally aren't very confidence and are pretty unsuccessful, professionally AND as a man, in their home countries. As such they aeem to be seeking some sort of comfort in Japanese women with whom they somehow feel better about themselves.
And don't even try using that 'I like Japanese women but not because they are submissive...' line, because the chance of people believing that is zero.

japan isn't as economically impoverished as other asian countries so a lot of guys like to delude themselves into thinking that they'll like you for you, but a lot of japanese girls have silly ideas about white men and american culture and are all gung-ho to hop on board. but when reality sets in, they may choose to flee back to japan or dump you for a japanese guy (i've seen it happen too many times to count), and i know plenty of horror stories of jgirls' behaviour turning 180 after marriage.
