To a non-smoker, cigarette smell is one of the worst smells ever. No matter how well you think you've masked it, it's still very obvious. Some guys/girls try putting on extra cologne/perfume, which makes the smell even worse. Seriously consider quitting. Smoking does you no favours at all. But I'm sure you already know that, so in the short run I guess eat gum and drink lots of water.

I don't know if this would work for smokers, but if you wanna test if your breath smells, lick the back of your hand, rub it, and sniff.
