Verbal Confirmation (5)

For those who are in a relationship right now, if you wanted to know whether your s/o loved you or not, would you want him/her to tell you verbally or would you just feel it through her actions and stuff?

It depends on people. Some care more than others about verbal confirmation (everybody cares about actions!).

I guess I would only worry if even when once and a while you ask about it, the other still refuses to verbalize his love.

If she don't say she love ya, she don't love ya.

Yes and no. For the most part, I'd like my boyfriend to be caring and affectionate. However I don't like him over expressing, to the point where he's always leaning in for a kiss or saying a mushy line to me. Basically, I like a man act like a man, and as long as he occasionally does something or says something to let me know that he cares, then I'm good. Guys who say "I love you" too easily make me suspicious and awkward.

Male here.

If my girlfriend's actions wouldn't be telling me that she loves me, no amount of verbal confirmation would help. However, it's nice to be told that she loves me, so long as it's spontaneous and genuine. Makes certain traits (e.g. her extreme possessiveness) of hers attractive instead of creepy, and simply feels nice to hear.
