Hey guys, this is the OP.

I'm 20 and she's 19. A few days ago, she told me she was going to go to a friend's birthday party at a hotel. She told me that around 40+ people were coming, and she told me that she invited a few people-- so I asked when and at what time the party would be held.

She told me the date and time of the party- 12AM. I said 12AM might be too late for me, and she said "ah that's too bad". After a few minutes I changed my mind and told her I would be able to go to the party. She then told me NOT to come. I asked her why and she told me that she didn't think I'd come but she told me about the party anyway, and that there wasn't enough room for me at the hotel.

I broke up with her half an hour ago, and instead of feeling sad , I feel relieved - like a prisoner that has left jail. Thank God.

This was the first 'relationship' I've ever been in, and I'm confident that being single outweighs the advantages of being in a relationship with her. I'm glad I didn't kiss her after all.
