Ideas for dates (7)

I want to ask a girl out soon and need some date advice, guys. :3

I live in a rather small town with not much going on. We have one cinema, a bowling alley, a small park, etc. Very standard stuff (though we don't even have a mall). Me and the girl I want to ask out are both 18 years old, we're in the last year of high school.

I'm quite confident about asking her out, that's not the problem. I just don't have many ideas for a good date, though. On the first date, I would probably just invite her to a restaurant and then catch a movie at the cinema; plain and simple. But I have barely any ideas about what to do the next few dates if we continue to go out together after that.
And since we're just 18, I don't think the standard things that adults do together would be appropriate; i.e. going for a coffee after work, going to a fancy restaurant, visiting a gallery, etc.

So yeah, basically I just need some simple ideas for dates, that are not so much dependent on a big city. We're both also rather quiet and shy people, so it probably won't be something massive like the disco or a big theme park.

Help would be much appreciated.

Scenery, man! I was worried a bit for you until the quiet and shy part, which opened up a plethora of possibilities centered around something like simply taking walks with her. And it's even better that you don't live in a crowded, concrete-ridden area, because it gives you a chance to breathe in the calm air together while talking peacefully and enjoying nature as it is. So, when you stop spending money, pick a few nice places and ask if she'd just like to spend some quiet evenings with just the two of you.

stargazing maybe not until later dates but spending time on on blanket looking at stars with a thermos of hot chocolate is never a bad date unless its cloudy but its best not to think of such things

Light pollution seriously diminishes the number of stars visible at night. Gotta head far away to get anything nice.

Video game date? Board game date? Junk food & TV show marathon date? Good for bad weather.

Make ice cream together! (But probably best for summer time). You can find recipes for "zip lock baggie ice cream" online with ease, and all you need for it are two ziplocks, ice, salt, milk, sugar, and flavoring.

Frisbee and picnic date!

Visit an animal shelter together and pet some in-need-of-love cats together for a couple hours. It'll make the cats happy and you'll be doing something fun and generous together (plus it'll add to your charm-- empathy is a great quality in a prospective mate.)

These are all things my guy and I do together for dates. The best part is, most of them are free or relatively cheap!
