in life after love, after love, after love?
I can feel something inside me say
I really dont think its gay enough, oh
Yes. If you can't have a life in "spite of" being in love, you have no business being in love. Love is very important, but the love of a partner (as opposed to friends and family) is not vital, merely a very pleasant bonus that makes life better.
I've always found the idea of "me and my lover against the world" thing to be incredibly selfish and stupid. If you don't have any higher aspirations than just being with your lover, you are as selfish as the person who only thinks for themselves. As an activist/revolutionary who is seeing someone right now, I can firmly say that the people of the world and my political causes mean far more to me than my lover... and I am glad she understands that, because if she didn't, we'd be totally incompatible.
