K.... so um....
I have been kinda in love with my best friends brother for the past 4 years or so. Technically three, cause within the last year he turned from the amazing intelectual and all around amazing guy into a total douche bag. He got addicted to WOW, and moved to Calgary and basically became a self absorbed hermit. Bleg. Before we used to talk all the time about all sorts of intellectual stuff, from his philosophy and theology homework in college, all the way up to me helping him right his college entrance essay. And he could make me laugh all the time it was great. But like i said after he move away he turned horrid. But i kept in liking him anyway. Until this last year where he though it would be funny to start joking around about drinking his brains out (he knows i hate alchoholics cause my dad was one) and getting hookers (which i mean common is just disgusting) so i basically lost all contact with him but kept in touch with his sister.

>intellectual.
>theology.

That aside, how about you tell him all of that directly? I mean, what are you waiting for? It's been 4 years already! Tell him everything. Things will work themselves afterwards.

p.s.
plus his sister would totally hate me for ruining her life plans for him and i am friend with this other girl and what if she still likes him!!
and i mean he is also one of those more traditional guys who i think would be totally turned off if i did the asking

Well it may seem like he became addicted to WOW, became a hermit, or loser in general. But if the fact is that you are in fact from Edmonton and he moved to Calgary I am most definitely sure he realized how much better women were here and just decided to ignore you. He was probably having so much fun, actually clubbing in a "downtown", (look it up you should visit one sometime) without native people hoarding over asking for change.
